TGIF, everyone! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, gratitude is something we are hearing a lot about. John F. Kennedy once said, "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." In a season filled with “thank you” messages, it’s a great reminder that our actions can mean so much more than words. Showing gratitude through kindness, helping others, or simply being present can have a lasting impact, especially in times when many people need a bit of extra support. As we head into the weekend, consider: How can you show your appreciation in ways that go beyond words? Sometimes, a small gesture of kindness or an act of service can mean the world to someone else. Let’s turn our gratitude into actions that uplift others and spread a bit of warmth this season. #communityaction #foodforthought #helpingpeoplechanginglives

From our team to your home, we hope you have a great day filled with spending time with your loved ones. (And eating that extra piece of pie!) We are thankful for each one of the people we work with to make our communities even better! As we pause to celebrate Thanksgiving, I'm struck by a profound truth that many Indigenous peoples have long embraced – gratitude isn't meant to be confined to a single day, but rather woven into the fabric of our daily lives. Their wisdom teaches us that true appreciation is a practice, a way of moving through the world that transforms how we see everything around us. Many Indigenous communities start each day with expressions of thanksgiving – for the sun that rises, for the water that sustains us, for the earth that supports us, and for the connections that bind us together. This daily practice of gratitude isn't just a ritual – it's a powerful lens through which to view life, one that can profoundly impact our well-being and our relationships with others. Let's draw inspiration from these timeless teachings and carry the spirit of thanksgiving with us beyond this holiday. Whether it's starting our meetings with a moment of appreciation, acknowledging our daily wins, or simply taking time to recognize each other's contributions, we can make gratitude a cornerstone of our culture. #Thanksgiving #GiveThanks #ThankfulforYou #TurkeyDinner #Pie #bkonnected #indigenous #communities #team #teachings

Today is a special Monday for us in the United States, isn't it? This is the week that leads us to the Thanksgiving holiday, which is this Thursday. Consider the good it would do us all if we made gratitude a part of our everyday lives. And there are some simple ways we can do that. For example, if you practice a religious faith, pause now and then during your day to pray, even silently, a word of thanks for a blessing you experience, whether small or large. Keeping a thanksgiving journal is a good practice. Keep it simple. Jot down 3, 4, or 5 things that your grateful for, either just as you wake up or right before bed. How about thank-you notes? Imagine that you did something nice for someone, and never gave it a second thought. Then a day or two later you received a handwritten note of thanks in the mail. Feels great, right? I'll bet you can think of someone to say Thank you" to every day. The point is, we give thanks, we express gratitude. Thanksgiving is something we do. Let's make it a daily habit as a way toward a kinder world.

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! 🍂 Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the power of gratitude—to appreciate what we have, instead of dwelling on what we don't. Rather than comparing ourselves to others, let’s focus on competing with our past selves—striving to improve by just 1% every day in ways that matter most to us. It’s those small, consistent steps that lead to lasting growth. As we enjoy this special day, let's also remember those who are less fortunate. If you can, take a moment to extend a helping hand—it’s often through giving that we truly unlock the deepest sense of gratitude and happiness. Finally, let's be thankful for the family, friends, teachers, colleagues, and communities who have shaped our lives. Reach out to them today—spread love, kindness, and let go of any past negativity. Forgive, forget, and embrace the spirit of connection. Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with joy, love, and appreciation! 🍁🙏 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Kindness #Family #Community #PersonalGrowth
