Here's one simple change to save yourself hours every week: You know those 15-minute gaps in your day? When a meeting ends early, or you have a few minutes left before you leave the office. Right now, you’re probably using them to: - Scroll the internet - Refresh your email inbox - Make small talk with a coworker But here’s the thing, 15 minutes is enough time to: - Take a walk outside - Send that text to a friend - Call family just to say hello - Write down tomorrow’s priorities So here’s a better strategy:  Each morning (or the night before), create two quick lists: 1) Three 5-minute tasks 2) Three 15-minute tasks Now when those time pockets appear (and they will), you’ll know exactly what to do with them. Don’t get me wrong - it’s not about squeezing in as much as you can during the day to turn yourself into a productivity machine. It’s about using your time intentionally, and getting the small things done that add up over time. I've always struggled with managing my tabs, especially during crucial moments at work. Here are a few scenarios where tab overload negatively impacted my productivity: - **Leading Teams Meetings:** I found myself wasting precious time trying to keep all relevant content available. The presenter notes could only hold so much, leaving me constantly searching for the right information during meetings. - **Coding:** Switching between #VSCode and different tabs made it easy to lose track of which tab had the correct repository or forum I was referencing. This constant back and forth was not only frustrating but also disrupted my workflow. - **Task Overload:** As more tasks piled up, I kept opening new tabs and soon lost track of which ones were most important to my priority tasks. The regular one-on-one with your boss (subordinate): office scourge or quality time? Well, it depends on what you do in your one-on-one. They CAN be valuable opportunities to share critical information/feedback, but too many times they turn into drone-like exercises, if not a complete waste of time.
