One of the inspirations for Shorehill was the shotlink system; tour courses generally receive a shotlink report after hosting a tournament, and use it to make key decisions in the design and maintenance of their course. But most facilities don't have access to this data (and the pros don't engage with the course the same way your average golfers do for the other 51 weeks of the year anyway). So we wondered; what if we could provide this kind of analysis for any course, and for all golfers? Fast-forward quite a few years and that's exactly what we do; provide informative reports on how golfers of all standards are engaging with your course. Used to inform sustainable course management (particularly useful for courses looking to reduce their total areas of finely maintained turf without negatively impacting the golfer experience), save on maintenance costs, improve pace of play, enhance course strategy and more. These insights are no longer reserved for the elite few courses who host tour events. We're proud to serve facilities of all kinds around the world! Your golf course should aspire to perform at its absolute best, so why are you afraid to be associated with the finest in the business? In conversations with daily fee course operators, here’s what I’ve been told on numerous occasions: “Tagmarshal is designed to work at private or high-end clubs and won’t work for my operation.” How do I respond? Sure, we have achieved excellent results at the likes of Valhalla and Baltusrol, but the majority of our course partners are actually $50 or less daily fee courses. What we have done is: Take learnings from some of the world’s premier courses, based on their needs and expertise. Create a system that benefits a $30 daily fee course just as much as a high-end private club. We recently partnered with Willow Springs, a daily fee course in Maryland that charges around $40 a round. Ben Wilson, the General Manager, said, ““The technology is phenomenal. It makes things so much easier, so much more effective, it’s full of great people and it’s a great company to work with." It’s time you took a closer look at how technology will change how your course operates. Watch our demo at tagmarshal.com/demo now!

"Longtime golf strongholds New York and California lead the way as the No. 1 and No. 2 states with the most Top 100 courses, but the competition has gotten closer. New York moved from 15 to 14 courses, with California growing from 12 to 13 courses on the U.S. list. Pennsylvania made the biggest move in this year’s list, going from three courses on the 2022-23 Top 100 U.S. list to five this year. In all, 30 states are represented in the ranking, with 18 states featuring more than one course." https://lnkd.in/gB2t3xdq

Here's an article I wrote for my consulting business. "Why Are So Many Courses Leaving foreUP" https://lnkd.in/gKpwmABe I look at possible reasons for the large number of foreUP defections we've been tracking and consider our inbound from golf courses in the shopping process. And yes, I built another one of those maps you all seem to like so much. 😁 Don't let this article fool you into thinking foreUP Golf is in trouble or the house is burning down. It is not. Have their customers been impacted by some tech issues more than others, over the last 6 months? - Yes. I've seen this in the past with others and I suspect we'll see it in the future too. Now, it's foreUP in the grinder, do I think they'll recover? I know they will. But we don't exclusively serve foreUP at smbGOLF and we have to keep golf courses informed. We help golf courses and golf tech companies find each other and connect when the need, costs and features are well aligned.
