Where Shorehill fits into the planning process for golf facilities.... A (simplified) diagram outlining how many clubs plan, communicate and execute their projects, and where Shorehill adds value within that process. Ultimately, collecting and using golfer data provides value no matter the scale of the project or the exact decision-making structure at any club. Data-led decision-making is becoming more prevalent in the industry, and this should be no different for capital investment projects (or even routine winter work). Golfer data of this kind provides value in early and later stage planning discussions, in cultivating golfer buy-in, maximising the ROI of any project and finally in helping the facility after construction has been completed. We're here to arm the key decision-makers with more precise, impactful and actionable information to enable them to maximise the success of their specific projects, whatever they may be. Become a pro-golfer. 🏌️♂️ Swing from ‘pro-level’ to ‘where did that ball even go?’ Last Thursday, the Keola team traded hard hats for golf hats at the Registered Master Builders Association Golf Day! A great day out with the team, connecting with industry mates, sharing a few laughs, and 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘴. 😊 One thing was consistent: the camaraderie and energy of our amazing construction community. The Learnings 💡 Take time out to connect. Invest in building relationships, not just buildings. It’s these connections that drive our construction community forward. The Burn 😲 18.5km 23,000 steps 4,000 calories That's some serious cardio disguised as a leisurely game of golf! Whether you’re teeing off on the course or tackling a project, one thing is clear: success in this industry comes from strong partnerships and shared moments. Big thanks to everyone who organised, participated, and made it such a memorable event. Can’t wait to do it all again next year! PS: Any tips for a terrible slice? Asking for a friend… 😉 PPS: If you want to join us, please DM, I'll see what I can do. #MasterBuilders #ConstructionCommunity #GolfDay #NetworkingDoneRight #RelationshipBuilding #GolfDayLessons

Tip of the day: We see this All. The. Time. Don't get caught out! SO SO MANY golf clubs are suffering from mistaken auto-renewal of contracts that are no longer fit for purpose or a fit for their club. Here's Ian Ratcliffe's advice, a former architect on long term projects: He says "As soon as you sign up for ANY long term contract, immediately email to give them notice that whenever the contract term completes, you will be terminating the contract. This prevents you from unwittingly entering another 3 year contract/without fee renegotiation/and you don't fall foul of the issue we are seeing with so many of our golf club customers where they are stuck paying for contracts because they missed the email that said, 'if you don't cancel we'll renew you in 6 weeks'. Understandably, being a Golf Club Manager you often wrangle unexpected priorities, so something that isn't happening for 6 weeks falls down the priority list and down into the depths of inbox obscurity. Another pitfall is when there's a change in General Manager or committee who are unaware of the existing arrangement and auto-renewal process. We have known one club unwittingly get re-signed up to another contract term for 7 years!! #golfclubmanager #golfcoursemanager #greenkeeper

Healthy golf operations generate revenue freely throughout the day. At some facilities, late afternoon and early evening starting times are discounted. And what’s more some facilities offer discounts all day long. Fact: The cost to serve a guest doesn't decline throughout each day. Facilities that co-mingle real value while remaining profitable within a challenging industry will provide lasting value. Golf Professionals: Don't afford competitors an advantage over your operation. Understand facility core values, communicate the message well to players and staff, and protect non-discounted pricing structures as 2025 begins. Bartering with the future of golf is dangerous. Protect your pricing.

Just like golf, in homebuilding, you need to be good at playing both the long game and the short game. Check out our blog that weighs both sides of the issue and let us know what you think! #homebuilding #quality #productivity https://lnkd.in/gB5ZFmF8

It’s with great pride that we share this AFR article noting the divestment of the Cranbourne Golf Club > https://lnkd.in/gG6aFZgb Charter Keck Cramer’s Advisory team were engaged by the Vendor Group in March 2023 with a clear strategy to de-risk the divestment by understanding the opportunities and challenges for redevelopment. Our extensive pre-sale due diligence comprised over 10 sub-consultant inputs ultimately leading to an all-encompassing development plan suitable for a sales campaign. Selling agents LAWD were appointed with the campaign generating significant interest from local, national and international developers. Over 20 groups submitted offers, with Brown Property Group acquiring the property on an unconditional basis, a testament to our extensive pre-sale due diligence strategy. A particular thanks to Tract Consultants for their planning and urban design input and congratulations to Brown Property Group on the purchase, we wish them success for the redevelopment. #charterkeckcramer #charteradvisory #australianfinancialreview #afr #cranbournegolfclub #divestment #brownpropertygroup #propertyadvisory #realestate #australianproperty #lawd #tract Patrick McNulty Tom Byrnes Peter Sagar Paul Callanan Danielle McCann Nick Clements
