Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in the world, highlighting how likely it can affect any of us today. Women are encouraged to take measures to ensure they detect breast cancer as early as possible. In support of that Zimbabwe, has initiated free screenings to ensure that women receive the help they need. According to the American Cancer Society, there will be an estimated 313,510 new breast cancer cases in the U.S. in 2024. Early detection and treatment of cancer is a vital part of working on decreasing this number so more people can live a healthy, cancer-free life. It's recommended that women between the ages of 40 and 44 should start cancer screening with a mammogram every year. Sarcoma Awareness Month: Shinning a Light on the “Forgotten Cancer”   This July, we’re spotlighting the need to cure sarcoma, a rare cancer of the connective tissue which affects over 50,000 Americans. Sarcoma, often called the “forgotten cancer,” impacts about 1% of adult cancer patients and makes up 20% of all childhood cancer cases. It is imperative we continue to highlight the challenges these patients face and recommit to finding treatments and therapies.
