In response to the growing demand for smaller lot sizes, our client Sunbury Hills Pty Ltd requested additional lots within the Everley development. We accommodate such requests promptly due to our efficient systems and processes, however limitations arise when dealing with narrow nature strips that contain services, street trees, and vehicle crossovers. In such situations, Taylors offer solutions that maintain our desired outcomes without compromising the aforementioned. Here is an illustrative example: Initially, the pod layout featured four lots. Our client requested an extra lot, as shown in the middle image. However, strict requirements for pram crossings, vehicle crossovers, parking bays, and drainage pits made this impossible. To address this, we strategically realigned the lots, ensuring compliance with critical standards (as depicted in the right-hand image). #TeamTaylors #CivilEngineering #Engineering #AgileDesign #EverleyEstate #SunburyHills #UrbanDevelopment #ResidentialDevelopment #HousingDevelopment #Expertise #Solutions

I took this picture because I think that the skill, the brute force, the technology required to keep the sides of this hole from caving in on itself is truly impressive. But, when I look at it now, I just see it as an illustration of why underground parking spaces are so expensive. 📷 A several storey deep hole being excavated by heavy machinery in downtown Hamilton, with huge steel cross-braces supporting the walls. #Construction #Parking #UndergroundParking #Condos #ResidentialConstruction #HamOnt #RandomMusings

How do you build a brand-new grandstand when it’s right next to a busy motorway, backs onto an extremely steep bank and has a tight budget? That was the question we had to answer when we delivered a new permanent Stadia construction project for Exeter Chiefs at their Sandy Park stadium. The answer - an innovative solution that included a suspended ground floor cantilever structure on pile foundations, which mitigated the need for expensive sheet piling. Find out more about how we built the new stand, including new terracing, drainage, infrastructure, seating, elevation treatment and ground works as a turnkey package. https://bit.ly/3P2dpXN #stadiumconstruction

#LeedsCityCouncil to Construct New #Footbridge in #Otley Following Public Safety Concerns and Reported Defects. After detecting defects in July 2023, #LeedsCityCouncil has decided to replace the #OtleyFootbridge. Following public reports, the council conducted an urgent investigation to assess the need for repairs. Specialist contractors examined the underside of the existing footway and discovered additional hidden defects. The findings revealed that the problems were more extensive than initially thought, leading the council to opt for constructing a new footway. To minimize disruption, the council plans to set up a temporary footbridge. This will ensure residents maintain easy access across the river during the construction of the new footbridge. The temporary bridge will be located just east of #OtleyBridge and will provide a connection to #TittybottlePark. #OtleyBridge, a Scheduled Ancient Monument nearly 800 years old, spans the #RiverWharfe with seven stone arches, connecting the two halves of #Otley town via the #B6451. In the 1950s, as vehicular traffic increased, a cantilevered concrete pedestrian walkway was added to enhance safety. This walkway is now deteriorating, with temporary deck boards covering holes in the footway, and a rolling program of inspections is in place pending its replacement https://lnkd.in/gYv4Hqmv #LeedsNews #LeedsStar #LeedsStarNewspaper #LeedsCityCouncil #VisitLeeds #LeedsCity #Leeds
