So its been about two weeks since Microsoft released their latest version of Microsoft Office (Office 2024), some major changes have been made - On a personal point of view, I think they were not good changes.
Previously Office came in multiple versions such as Home & Student, Home & Business, Professional and Professional Plus - anyone could purchase them (with the exception to Pro Plus, which as for enterprises and larger companies). Now for the general user you have two options.
Office Home 2024 - (Word, Excel, PPT and OneNote) OR Office Business 2024 (which includes the Home apps plus Outlook), where's Access gone, and Publisher? Turns out to get both those apps, you have to pay for them individually, and each they are £159. I know the amount of people using Access and Publisher has declined, but it is a rather strange move on Microsoft's behalf removing them as part of the full "Office" package.
Of course you can get Microsoft 365, but for people like me who don't want to pay a subscription, the Microsoft Office one time payment is a better option.. Or used to be...
