As a woman it triggers all the past traumas and assaults that we experienced in our past...my whole social media feed is flooded with the recent incident that happened in RG Kar medical college... If a woman is not safe in her workplace...that too a hospital..that too a government hospital. I don't know where we will be safe.. And all we are asking is for justice... A justice to set an example that if you do wrong you will be punished...but what we get from our beloved Chief minister ( The only lady chief minister of the country) is offering money to the family... The gruesome details of the incident is spine chilling...we don't know how much pain she endured during her last minutes of her death... Are we asking for too much ?? seems like workplace safety is luxury for woman.... Are we not allowed to live life...are we not allowed to work normally.. can't we have ambitions... It breaks my heart reading so many women getting trauma and thinking where we are heading as a country....as a nation..as a society.. When people in power use their power suppressing things like this for their own benefits...it makes us think which is more powerful...power or truth ?? Justice delayed is justice denied...our safety is now only in our own hands...and remember that if you are safe today you are lucky... because we never know who is next. #safety #workplace #justice

Words are mightier than swords. ✍️⚔️ Being mindful of our language reflects on us as beings. We might not always be in a good mood. However, that is not an excuse to be disrespectful. 🚫🙅♂️ For example, NHS operates a zero-tolerance policy concerning violence and abuse, and the practice has the right to remove violent patients from the list with immediate effect to safeguard practice staff, patients, and other persons. 🏥❌ #smallbusinesses have an equal right not to accept such behaviour, transact, or service abusive or impolite customers. 🚫💼 Being respectful is a reflection of yourself; please make sure you portray the best image. 🌟👥 Be #kind; this is something that everyone is encouraged to do, as we all need it. 💖🤝 #respect #community #wellbeing #family #khalilthecoach

There is a limit...there is always a limit. The reality of providing care as a professional or family member is that our passion for the job or love for our family member does not operate without boundaries. Any relationship that thrives is set on boundaries, and providing care is no different. Exhaustion is an easy one to guard against, but care providers have to establish and revisit boundaries often. Why? 👉 The expected level of conduct in the profession requires it. 👉 The unpredictable environments that providing care presents can blur the lines...fast! 👉 In many ways, as we provided de care, we are modeling healthy interactions with others for our participants. 👉 The families that request the service deserve peace of mind and the knowledge that nothing undue is happening to the participant or to you. How do you uphold your boundaries? When last did you put your foot down? Do you need help with communicating small infractions that might become major violations? I created Carers Want Competence in 2017 and it infuriates them because we expose this sort of thing. That's around the time they began to use Lucy as a punchbag in attempts to silence me. They even put Lucy in a dementia care home for over 65's for nine weeks before I was able to bring her home (she was only in her early 50's. I've made all requests possible through correct channels for the past six years, but Glos NHS and the Cheltenham GP have always refused them. Even when Lucy was alive they consistently refused access. I then began to record every single conversation, secret camera recordings and photo's of medical records when they've been left lying around. That infuriated them even more. They also for many years refuted my LPA for Health & Welfare even though the Public Guardian has spoken to them numerous times. In 2019/20 they even attempted to have my LPA revoked in Court of Protection - They lost the case, wasted probably £40000 at least. All this hostility from them purely because I complain about Lucy being left in soiled pads, hospital acquired pressure ulcers, covert (behind our backs) 4 dnacpr's, 3 covert ReSPECT forms and at least six covert Deprivation of Liberty authorisations. 'Professionals' tend to take the word of of 'professionals', which increases the barriers of conflict and incorrect assumption that this 'complainer' is 'intimidating'. And why would they have a reason NOT to believe colleagues? "Professionals don't lie". It's a common misconception because they are thought to adhere to a duty of candor. Gloucestershire's NHS, adult social care, district nurses and GP's - one believes another - without judging for themselves. I can't afford a solicitor, and the one's I have spoken to say that I have to separate issues - which is what I've been working on since Lucy died. I almost have enough money to pay for a directions order, so from there I can move forwards. I have no doubt in my mind that medical records will be altered, although that's illegal, but 'illegal' behaviour is nothing new from them. This seriously, is worse than a Mel Gibson 'Conspiracy' movie and makes the Post Office scandal seem like teddy bears picnic. There's plenty on here not just about us, but also people I've worked with https://lnkd.in/gD3i4H7

Psychotherapist; EMDR Practitioner; Counsellor; Hypnotherapist; Suicide Prevention Trainer; Speaker; Mental Fitness Coach
Last night I dove into the gripping series Bates vs The Post Office on ITV, and I am left utterly horrified by the unimaginable ordeal that many individuals had to endure. It's disheartening to witness an organisation, whose purpose is to serve the public, causing such profound distress and wreaking havoc on countless lives. The toll it has taken on the mental health of those involved is beyond belief. The stories of lives disrupted, reputations tarnished, and livelihoods shattered are both heart-wrenching and infuriating. How could an organisation, entrusted with a vital service, neglect the well-being of its own people? It's absolutely mind-boggling that the Post Office could seemingly turn a blind eye to the wreckage left in its wake. The indifference to the suffering of its employees is difficult to comprehend, leaving me in a state of disbelief. There are already over 50 new cases that have come forward since the programme was aired. On a positive note, I'm grateful to hear that a full police investigation is now underway. It's a crucial step towards justice and accountability. Let's hope that those responsible for the immense pain inflicted upon innocent lives are held accountable, and that measures are put in place to prevent such a tragedy from happening again. We must stand in solidarity with those affected, supporting each other through these challenging times. It's a stark reminder of the importance of transparency, accountability, and compassion in every organisation. #batesvsthepostoffice #justiceprevails #accountabilitymatters #supporteachother #postoffice #corporateresponsibility Kirsty Ritchie

👷🏿Do you know? How Workplace Injuries Affect a Worker’s Family When a worker gets hurt on the job, it doesn’t just affect them. Their family also faces many challenges, especially if they rely on that worker’s income. 👉🏿Physical Impact If a worker is injured, they may not be able to do simple things without help. Their family might have to care for them, which can be hard for everyone. 👉🏿Mental Impact Seeing a loved one in pain can cause a lot of stress. Families may feel worried about the future, especially if the injury is serious or permanent. 👉🏿Financial Impact When the main earner can’t work, the family can struggle to pay bills. Medical costs and the loss of income can put them in a tough situation.
