🌟 Grateful for the privilege of my work, which affords me the opportunity to visit mines and gain invaluable insights into their operations. Today was particularly extraordinary as I had the chance to ascend to the top of a filter plant—an awe-inspiring experience! 🚀 Every visit to a mine is a reminder of how fortunate I am to be immersed in this dynamic industry, where every day presents new challenges and opportunities for learning. From understanding the intricacies of mining processes to witnessing cutting-edge technologies in action, each experience enriches my understanding and passion for what I do. Today's visit to the filter plant was nothing short of remarkable. Metals Australia Ltd Kicks Off Exploration at Corvette River: Hunting for Lithium, Gold, and More in Quebec (ASX: MLS) Paul Ferguson, CEO of Metals Australia, shared his excitement about the program: “It’s pleasing to be under way with phase 1 of our field exploration program at Corvette River. The commencement of this program is a result of a lot of great work by our team and our contractor, Magnor Exploration. We have developed a detailed and prioritised exploration program targeting lithium as well as gold, silver and copper and put in place a contract to allow this important work to be completed during the summer field season, when ground truthing is possible in Quebec. Importantly the program phasing recognises the challenges associated with accessing heavy lift helicopters during the peak summer period.” “We are now on the ground with a dedicated team of geologists and field staff, including excavators. The team will be able to follow up on the targets, associated structures and outcrops that have been identified from previous sampling. This will allow accurate positioning of trenching and channel sampling. The outcomes of this work will result in a well-defined and prioritised list of drill targets – which will be the subject of phase 2 of the program. Looking ahead, Metals Australia plans to use the results from this first phase to plan a drilling program. This week we hosted our Focus on Mining camp, and had the pleasure of welcoming 19 students in Years 11 and 12 to our Kalgoorlie campus to give them a taste of what opportunities can await them in mining. Their tour kicked off on Tuesday with a visit to BHP’s Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter, before exploring a number of facilities housed at our Kalgoorlie campus, including our geomechanics laboratory to discover rock stability in mining, a gold electroplating demonstration in our hydrometallurgy laboratory, as well as a visit to our rock museum to discover the rich mining heritage of the Goldfields. The following day, the group visited Northern Star Resources Limited's KCGM operations, that includes the Super Pit and Mt Charlotte underground mine. Year after year we receive overwhelmingly positive feedback from student participants who find the camp’s activities insightful, and leave feeling inspired to pursue a career in mining. One participant said the camp helped her understand the range of career pathways offered by the WA mining industry. “We learnt about all of the careers involved in mining – I didn’t know that there were so many difference options.” Another student explained how her experience provided her with an introduction to what can lay ahead in mining. “It’s really nice that we’re able to come and see real-life mining operations. In school it’s theoretical, but it’s great to see it in person and how it affects the world.” Our Focus on Mining Camps take place in January and July every year, with major sponsorship from Northern Star Resources, together with further support from IGO Ltd and WA School of Mines Alumni. We've received exceptional high-grade lithium results from our Luke Pegmatite discovery highlighting the growing potential of the Tabba Tabba Lithium Project, near Port Hedland, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The discovery has expanded to more than 800m in strike length, with significant intercepts including 43.0m at 1.4% Li₂O and 54.4m at 1.2% Li₂O. Since acquiring the Tabba Tabba project a year ago, we have conducted more than 90,000m of drilling. Exploration has identified a 3.2km long LCT pegmatite field hosting several significant pegmatite bodies. Most drilling has focused on the Leia deposit, which is now 2.2km long, with mineralisation extending from surface and continuing down plunge. Recent assay results support the belief that Luke may be higher grade than other pegmatite bodies discovered to date. Managing Director Ajanth (AJ) Saverimutto said: “These latest broad mineralised zones at the Luke Pegmatite are exceptional. We are very excited, as the new results confirm the discovery has broad, high-grade zones sitting directly beneath our Leia Pegmatite body. Luke has potential to have a significant positive impact on the overall system. We have four rigs onsite, aggressively drilling new targets at Tabba Tabba. The Luke discovery is testament to the quality of our geological team and their target generation.” Wildcat is well funded with $90.1 million cash at end of Q3, positioned to complete aggressive drilling and advance development studies at Tabba Tabba in 2024.
