Saturday mornings are one of my favorite times of the week. While I'm watching College Gameday on Saturdays in the fall, I start to get a flood of weekly update emails from the companies that Topo Advisors works with. These regular updates are a great way for CEOs to engage investors and advisors and enable them to help push the company forward through introductions or feedback. A few key takeaways from the thousands of investor updates I've read over time: 1️⃣ Stay Concise - The readers of these updates see several a week, so focus on the key topics and updates. 2️⃣ Make your asks visible - Investors and advisors can help move the needle for companies through asks in these updates, but make the asks visible and keep them at the top of the update. 3️⃣ Be Consistent - It’s tough for someone outside the business to understand the full context if they only get an update once a month or quarter. Be consistent with your updates and you’ll get more in return. Take a look at the link in the comments for more takeaways ⬇️

We all know that summer flies by. So even though we’re still weeks away from the technical beginning of summer, now's the time to take a few minutes to think about the fall. (I swear, just a few minutes—then you can get back to enjoying the current season!) Here’s my question: thinking realistically about what this summer is probably going to look like for your business, what are your top priorities going to be in the fall? It could be that summer is typically a slow time for you, so you know you’re going to need to hit the ground running after Labor Day if you’re going to meet your earnings goal for the year. Maybe fall is a time when your clients’ needs tend to change, and you’ll need to use some different skills to meet those particular needs. Or, you’re planning to start targeting a new pool of potential high-end clients later this year, and there’s work you need to do now to position yourself as a great resource for those clients. Join me for Time Matters Boot Camp 90-day virtual program, starting July 15th, and move into fall with a customized toolkit of time management strategies and a clear, step-by-step plan for achieving increased productivity. After a bit of a rollercoaster this summer where I had to take time off off due to my brain playing some *serious* mind games, I’m finally feeling like I’m getting back on track. 💪 It wasn’t easy—especially when, thanks to some... questionable management from my psychiatrist, last week I ended up in medication withdrawal for 10 days. Yep, ten whole days where my brain was running on fumes, and it felt like every small task was a mountain to climb. But here’s the thing: my *amazing* team had my back the whole way. 🙌 Their support kept me going, and now I’m seeing little (and big) wins start to happen again, which feels like breathing fresh air after a storm. Some highlights from this week: ⭐ I’ve just started a new marketing course (I’ve always been hungry to keep growing and learning, so it’s great to dive back in!). ⭐ The client webinar page I’ve been working on with Alexa Martinez is LIVE on the corporate website! (linked below) 🎉🎉 It’s been a fab project in the making, and it feels so good to see it go live! ⭐ This week marks the start of the Q4 PDP sessions, a huge part of my new role since coming back. Getting the project and the launch off the ground (led by the amazing Nicola Asplin) has been so rewarding—there’s nothing quite like seeing all the pieces come together after months of planning! These small victories remind me that it’s not about how fast you get there, but how you keep moving forward, no matter the obstacles. I’ve been *anything* but lazy during this time—if anything, I’ve had to work harder than ever just to get back to baseline. But now, with the right support and some hard-earned mental clarity, things are really starting to fall into place. If you’re going through a rough patch, just remember—every little win counts, and it adds up. Trust me, I’ve been there. ✌️💖 #LittleWins #ADHDInTheWorkplace #Resilience #TeamSupport #MentalHealthAtWork #MarketingJourney #KeepMovingForward #WorkplaceWellbeing #CelebrateSuccess

As we enter the last 4 months of 2024, it’s so easy to dwell on what we haven’t achieved. So instead of focusing on what’s now behind us, let’s shift our attention to what we can still accomplish in the time we have left. Now is the perfect time to set new goals or even revisit those you haven’t quiet hit yet. With 4 months still to go, there’s plenty of time to make progress and finish the year strong 💪 #september #newmonthnewgoals #focusonwhatsahead

Feeling lost in a new season of life? Stuck in your personal or professional growth? Want to break old habits and create new changes? Read this profile to improve your quality of life.
Day 7: 9.5/10 So today was a solid 9.5 out of 10. I did a reflection earlier this week on the most painful experience of my life and I remember spending a lot of time in my room alone in middle school. I really felt trapped and isolated a lot and it reminded me of how long I’ve been struggling with loneliness for. I also remember how much fun I had by myself. I could stare at the wall and my imagination would keep me busy for hours. Making these videos brings me back to those times and I actually enjoy spending a lot of time alone now because I’m developing such a strong connection with myself and my work. I sent out a survey to my community this week and the results were humbling. It made me realize I want to spend a lot more time improving the experience for my current members and spend a majority of my days finding ways to grow the brand. One of the biggest priorities for me right now is achieving a level of financial stability and freedom I can be proud of and it’s going to require a lot more effort than I’ve been putting in. Having this level of clarity now is super exciting though because my priorities have never been more clear and even though there’s a good chance I won’t hit my goals, I love the idea of giving it my all and doing something incredibly meaningful and hard. Something I noticed when I was having a bad few weeks is I stopped meditating. I’m back to doing it 2 to 3 times a day now the experiencing of doing nothing gives me a lot of permission to exist without attachment and it’s super cool to juggle this duality of striving for something and carving out time to completely detach from the experience too. Anyway follow for Day Eight where I’ll be sharing more about my upcoming quarterly goal so you can know what I’m going to be focused on for the next 3 months.
