It's so sad to see how everyone's go-to action plan is to 'sue' the other party's policy. EPA, Environmental Protection Agency, is tightening rules around tailpipe emission, which ICEVs do generate. As we all know, EVs don't generate any tailpipe emission. Yet, Republican attorneys general from 25 states are suing the EPA for "exceeding its legal authority." How so? Even the Detroit Big 3 (or Big 2 plus a European hybrid to be more accurate) recognize that the trend toward electrification of vehicles is inevitable. Their actions illustrate this without doubt. What we don't know is when this full electrification of vehicles will take place (not anywhere in the near future, if you ask me), not if EV transition will take place. Blocking regulations meant to protect the environment and further motivate carmakers to take EV transition (more) seriously will make the American carmakers less competitive in the global automotive industry. #automotiveindustry #emissionrules #evtransition
