Under the motto #SchmersalTinkers, trainees and students can develop project management skills not only in theory, but also in practice. 👩🔧👨💻 The focus of the first project was the development of a mobile phone case for Schmersal's company mobile phones. The positive response encouraged the team to continue the #project and develop another mobile phone case. 📅 Schmersal shows that responsibility and self-organisation are not just buzzwords, but are actively practised in #training. 🇩🇰 Being in #Copenhagen provides life perspective like no other place in the world. 🌍 It’s the place where I pivoted from youth to adulthood. It’s where I learned to acclimate to a totally new culture. It’s where I worked in 100% multi-cultural teams. It’s where I created some of my most enduring lifelong friendships. It’s where I lived and studied during an extended exchange program (APIM) between Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and the Copenhagen Business School - MBA Programmes. 🤔 With each return visit to #Denmark, I get more introspective on the many life lessons I learned here. I think about how I’ve applied them across every aspect of my life, especially in my professional coaching career. 🕯️ A major highlight of my week was reconnecting with Mette Bjerrum, Lotte Halmø, Anne-Marie Schiller and Merete Permin. Mange tak (many thanks) for carving out time for us to get together and recreate some APIM #hygge 🌅 Another highlight was seeing The Little Mermaid at sunrise with no tourists blocking her. 🧜♀️ Since she is pretty small, and it's always crowded...this was a big deal! #internationalcoach #internationalcareers #globalperspective #globalclientele #internationalexchange #studyabroad #internationalexecutivecoach #nyccoach

Welcome back to Perla’s Corner! 🌟 Last week, I spent time with the Communications Department in a team-building exercise. The team and I built bikes later donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Worth. Building the bikes was an adventure as we were divided into groups to solve different puzzles and problems to receive the parts needed to make the bike. When I was working with my team, we were all trying to solve each problem together and on our own, but it was tricky when some of the questions seemed incomplete. Other teams were also struggling but kept working together to solve their puzzles. No one ever said it was a competition, but we all assumed it was, so no one was helping one another outside their team. Once we all realized we had to cross team lines to work together in one big group, we were able to finish building the bikes a lot easier. This experience was fun and made me happy to be a part of it. Still, it also helped me and everyone else realize how important and valuable communication is in the workplace and life. 🌟Teamwork makes the dream work! 🌟 #TeamBuilding #Teamwork #TRWD #CommunicationIsKey #Cristo Rey #StudentWorker #Intern #CommsDept

It's national Yought day! 💬We spoke with some of our young interns! Veronica De Pretto, automotive sale dep. ♠️What position do you hold in clerprem at the moment, which division are you in? I am currently part of the automotive division sales office. I have just joined Clerprem so my role at the moment is supporting my colleagues; I'm dealing specifically with the process of issuing declarations preferential and non-preferential of goods and, also, the process of costing non compliance to supplier. ♠️What are you passionate about about your work, what led you to pursue this path? I come from an educational background that combines two worlds, business-science and linguistics. It is no coincidence that I chose a degree program in economics completely in English. Over the years I have also had the opportunity to study the German language, which I have become passionate about. My goal became precisely to find an environment that would offer me the opportunity to put my economic-mathematical knowledge and use of languages into practice. Therefore, I think the business office in a well-structured company like Clerprem is the a perfect fit. ♠️ what is your dream in the drawer? Certainly on a professional level I aim for a growth and, in particular, a position that can always inspire me and satisfaction. On a personal level I would like to have the opportunity to travel often. Discovering new places, cultures, ways of thinking is something I find very fascinating and fundamental to grow. #clerprem #young #clerprempeople

First big news of the year... Divergence is coming to Universities across UK and Ireland. Yup, I'm launching Divergence University to help students land their dream jobs straight out of Uni. When I was in college, I had no idea what job I wanted to do... and no idea how to actually get a job. Uni taught me a lot of things, but nothing about this... I was lucky that I just stumbled upon McKinsey & Company and a group of peers who were able to help me apply and land offers... Honestly, pure luck. But getting a job you love after Uni shouldn't be based on luck... That's why I've created this program, and teamed up with Peter Wood from The Graduate Guide by Huzzle, to bring Divergence University to students all over the UK and Ireland. The program will give students the toolkit to (a) get clarity on the career that's best suited to them and (b)actually land interviews and offers. So, if you're interested in learning more and joining the waitlist, check out the link the comments. And finally... we're giving away free enrolment for one student... to get the chance to win, just comment "Divergence" to get the details.

Great story. I think sometimes we hear too much about what is not possible, what we cannot control...what we cannot do, achieve, believe. But actually, there is a huge amount we CAN control, we just need to focus on what it is we want and ignore the naysayers- focus on what you can do to make it happen. This story proves that with direction and passion you can make the seemingly uncontrollable...well, controllable. #employability #nottinghamtrentuniversity #NBS #passion #studentsuccess #undergraduate #placementsupport #studentlife
Vision, research, clear ideas and a goal… Just some of the things NBS Business Management and Marketing Student Crispin Cazalet demonstrated when considering what he would like to achieve during his Sandwich Placement. Crispin contacted the Placement & Business Advisor Team because he wanted to spend his year in industry with an organisation which provided all the experiences and learning you would expect to gain from a placement, but there wasn’t the exact opportunity he wanted visibly out there. Crispin identified The Performance Company; a specialist distributor of premium and exclusive performance parts for the sports automotive industry, as the employer ticking all his placement boxes. We talked it through, Crispin made his pitch to the company and was invited for a site visit. Off the back of this an incredible placement opportunity was created. Fantastic stuff The Performance Company! and thank you James Pearman & Matt Wootton AATQB for taking the leap in creating this placement, supporting Crispin, and providing so much valuable work experience. Crispin is midway through his role as Marketing & Sales Intern and has been producing lots of amazing, eye-catching content and he and his team have also just returned from Netherlands, working on the official opening of their new European mainland showroom, so it’s exciting times ahead! Well done Crispin! a great example of getting out there, creating your own opportunities and securing a Sandwich Placement* in an industry you’re so passionate about! Here’s a very happy Crispin demonstrating a bit of what he gets to work with every day. It sure beats the NET tram to the Boots Library! *Ferrari Generally NOT included NTU Employability NTU Business and Employers #students #graduates #employability

#latepost (Better late than never!) Sharing a moment here that made me pause and smile: Joining Masters' Union, Meeting creative people (Shambhavi Sharma, Pirojaa Deshmukh, Nikhil Bhardwaj, @Akasharora), diving into the Consulting Quest with team DyS-PAN, and bagging the Best Business Award for Gokul Stores! 🏆 First-time consultant, lifetime learner. From intense brainstorming to life talks, we rode the rollercoaster of thinking we'd messed up to realizing we were spot on. Highlight? Our quirky, AI-inspired vlog. No awards, but 100% us - offbeat, creative, and capturing our spirit perfectly. 🎥✨ This journey taught me more than business strategies. It showed the power of teamwork, the thrill of pushing limits, and the art of turning panic into progress (and ideas into unforgettable content)! Balancing MU assignments with life is Tough, But seeing how far we've come makes it worth it. To those hesitating to leap into the unknown - do it. You might surprise yourself. I did. Here's to growing, learning, and changing the world bit by bit - while staying true to ourselves. Of course grateful to the Masters' Union's Team, Sandarvh Ranjan, & Muskkan Bhola for these opportunities. #consultingchallenge #TeamDysPAN #mastersunion #outclasschallenge

Last week we had the opportunity to host Gina Whalen, Kate Zimmerman and the Penn State Schuylkill Management 497 students for a high-level tour of our facility here in Orwigsburg, PA. They were able to observe our day to day operations and the social “norms” of companies in the US. They were also given the opportunity to ask questions about culture expectations, going outside of the US! These students from Penn State Schuylkill will soon be embarking on a cultural experience of a lifetime traveling to different countries in Europe, specifically to visit our facility in Erkrath, Germany for a similar tour! What we can all learn and reflect upon: ⭐Diversity: We may not realize it, but interacting with employees from different cultural backgrounds can be challenging, but rewarding when friendships and partnerships are built. 📈Understanding Global Markets: Many companies often have a presence in multiple countries or deal with clients and partners from various cultural backgrounds. Different currencies, and social norms apply, and its important to recognize these using the tools Penn State Students are learning today! 📖Career Exploration: For some students and even current employees, these visits or experiences with different cultures, may spark an interest in pursuing careers in international business, multicultural marketing, or related fields. ❓ How do you show up for your fellow employees, who may not be on the same continent as you ❓ #languagebarrier #timezones #culture #globalreach
