Fostering a culture of continuous learning is a secret weapon in the realm of digital transformation. It not only keeps your skills sharp, but also propels your organization ahead in the digital landscape. Embrace a mindset that values curiosity, ongoing education, and encourage your team to explore emerging technologies. On February 27, @MIT xPRO Courses in collaboration with Global Alumni Planning will offer the course "Digital Transformation: Becoming Digital Ready". This is an online course taught in English, Spanish and Portuguese, based on more than a dozen years of research in the topic of digital transformation. We developed this course to help everyone in the enterprise learn how to play your role in digital transformation, whether or not you have the senior management authority to make major changes in the company. If you lead a smaller unit, or if you're part of someone else's unit, the concepts will still help you be ready for transformation. Ready to take the leap into the digital age? We all know the value of T-shaped talent, but is there a better way to build a team that thrives on change? We often hear leaders discuss the need for "T-shaped" employees, who possess deep expertise in one area and a broad understanding of others. While that's valuable, a new model resonates strongly with our innovative spirit: the V-shaped employee. What is it about the V-shape that makes it so fascinating? T-shaped: Deep expertise in one area, broad knowledge across others. V-shaped: Adds a game-changing twist - adjacent knowledge. Adjacent knowledge isn't too deep or shallow, but just right. It equips your team with agility, versatility, and the ability to tackle anything that comes their way. At Unschool we're all about fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth How We Cultivate a V-Shaped Culture: →Encouraging Self-Discovery We empower our team members to identify complementary learning areas they can explore. →Collaboration is Key We encourage teams to share knowledge, breaking down barriers between departments and promoting the exchange of ideas. →Embrace Experimentation Curiosity and a willingness to explore new territory are hallmarks of a V-shaped culture. Deep expertise combined with related knowledge is the recipe for success. Grow as V-shaped employees and teams. A T-shaped one is good, but a V-shaped one is better. Share your thoughts in the comments. #Vshaped #teams #leadership #agility #versatility Check out this place for more such content!

44. Is it #Leaderful: Learning Teams and Learning Leadership In the article seen here from People Management, Cathy Hoy explains the value of a learning community to build learning leadership. https://lnkd.in/emPX3EmD The principles depicted can be applied across various forms of learning communities or learning circles as they are also referred to. However, the use of learning teams or sets is particularly helpful in action learning in which participants assemble into learning teams to work through the challenges of real work assignments provided to them by high-level corporate sponsors. Thus, the learning is not simulated around case scenarios but is vital at both the individual and group level to help learners face the critical dilemmas arising from real work project assignments carrying real risks and real outcomes. Such learning teams are leaderful in their character because at the team level, participants experience lessons in collective practice simply by virtue of their working together with colleagues on their projects. The learning team, as a team, is also a safe space in which to experiment with emerging team dynamics, including interpersonal communications, conflict, and power dependency. With the assistance of their team members and their facilitator, participants are also given the chance to try out new interpersonal skills and meta-competencies based on reframed assumptions brought out by public reflection within the team. Meanwhile, the learning team facilitator ensures that participants maintain ownership of their agenda and increase their capacity for collective reflection on the consequences of their actions. In their chapter on “Doing Leadership-as-Practice Development,” in the volume, Leadership-as-Practice: Theory and Application (see below), David Denyer and Kim Turnbull James experimented with a form of leaderful learning teams called “collaborative leadership learning groups” or CLLGs. These learning teams rather than focus on an organizational challenge and the individual and group learning emanating from the challenge, focused on learning about collaboration and shared leadership practices. https://lnkd.in/eTZNuZKV

"Age-diverse teams are valuable because they bring together people with complementary abilities, skills, information, and networks. If managed effectively, they can offer better decision-making, more-productive collaboration, and improved overall performance — but only if members are willing to share and learn from their differences. Think of a multigenerational team of product developers, merging the seasoned experience and broad client network of its older members with the fresh perspectives and up-to-date supplier network of its younger ones. Such a group can use its age diversity to build something no generation could on its own." https://lnkd.in/gsaDMf_U
