If your target audience can’t read a sign in a split second, it’s failed already. Legibility is a key factor in whether a sign communicates, or confuses. Here are my top 3 tips on making signage legible: ① Always use clean fonts → Sans-serifs are easy to read and the gold standard. ② Use spacing generously → Don't be afraid of space between lines and icons. ③ Design with contrast in mind → Pair colours like black and white or yellow and navy. Fancy fonts might look great on a screen, but placed in the physical world they often fail when it matters most. Simplicity is the key to delivering your message. --- PS. Well said Adam Davies! 🤌
Thank you for choosing our projects to share with the public. Also thank you for your kind words about this wayfinding system and environmental graphics!
What a great colour palette to work with. The contrast is beautiful between the signs and their surroundings but the accent pink also adds a real personality to everything.
