While companies have a hand book on ' How to do Sales ', it's equally important to have a handbook on ' How Not to do Sales.' I remember as a part of my job profile at ICICI I used to conduct trainings for their call center. I had a whole handbook on what NOT to do . Sometimes people don't realize that too much of #followup may actually drive your customer away. The reason I am writing this is because I have been facing this since the last two days. Day before yesterday I spoke to a prospective #businesspartner. On the call I clearly told him that I need to discuss this with my #partner and that I will get back to him. His follow started within an hour and it has been going on since then. Sometimes I feel what's app is actually a syapa. People have full freedom to bombard you. Even though his #proposal is good , I don't feel like giving him the account just because of this excessive and unnecessary followup. For people in sales this is lesson number 1 from my handbook ' How Not to do sales' Would love to hear your experiences on this. #businesslessons #sales
