🔌 Introducing the i-AVT-N🔌 We’re excited to unveil the i-AVT-N, our newest advancement in electrical safety technology. The i-AVT-N not only monitors voltage across all phases and the ground circuit but also monitors any voltage on the Neutral. Featuring a push-to-test function, the i-AVT-N performs an automatic self-test and provides a visual indication that it’s safe to open the electrical panel door—only when there is less than 3 volts AC or DC present. This enhances facility efficiency by eliminating the need for manual checks and reducing exposure to electrical hazards. "Stay safe and make maintenance easier with the i-AVT-N!"

For all the subcontractors looking to make life easier when processing paper work take a look at why SMARTBUILD SMARTSUB just makes sense. At a fraction of the cost of a project coordinator you can easily complete your work and be spending time constructing or estimating to get more work and generate more revenue for your organization.
Great second day at National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA)! Amazing chats with electrical contractors about their software needs. The more we chat the more I realize how valuable an easy-to-use, simple to adopt system can change an organization for the better. Doesn't hurt too much when the pricing is a flat fee instead of revenue based. If you're going to be at the show tomorrow and haven't swung by the booth #2825, come see us. But if not, hope to see you in Chicago next year! #NECASanDiego2024

You gotta stop by the SMARTBUILD Construction Solutions booth at the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) convention and have a chat with Zulqernain (ZULQ) and John about their really innovative way of approaching construction management. They have a wealth of knowledge in the construction space and it is impressive to see how they funneled all of that into their platform. Plus you gotta experience the tool on their smart glasses. It's really cool! The tool is very easy to use and their flat fee pricing model helps keep your costs consistent regardless of how many jobsites you have or how big your company grows. On top of that they are constantly improving the platform to add more features, capabilities, and reporting. #innovation #connections #networking

Thousands (seriously, I was in the giant room) of contractors watched the leaders of National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA), and National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) discuss the key issues that are impacting our entire supply chain, and the actions being taken to solve them. Everything from workforce development to electrification to lobbying congress to data sharing. We have a full recap of the conversation so you can learn more about what was said. Head on over to www.tedmag.com and check it out for yourself.

ESFI recently surveyed EV installers to gauge their understanding of the safe installation of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). When asked about EVSE training, 76% of installers said they had specific training, while 82% believed EVSE should have a specific certification. The goal of the survey was to identify safety gaps related to emerging technology to keep installers safe: https://lnkd.in/gzsJ4zRU

From my personal experience on two, large-scale projects I was part of in 2020 (one of which was Crestron NVX-centric), I can tell you it requires having not only a full understanding of the SOW (scope of work) put in place. This also means knowing all the subtleties of those functionalities required for each system, regardless of room size and configuration. Additionally, I have found the need for a fully itemized and comprehensive list for system commissioning (with documentation and accountability); it should be included in the testing phase, with a clear plan for escalation of any and all action items, should there be ANY functional failures during this phase. I think it is a foregone conclusion that using templates in all phases, from equipment configuration to system commissioning (on all projects not just large scale) greatly lessens the chance for repeat visits to address later, and also fewer calls for service on the back end, down the road.

The best way to be prepared for commissioning is to validate the system beforehand. PSA provides independent V&V activities for signaling system designs to ensure no drawbacks appear during SAT ➡ https://bit.ly/3xiDI5Z #Railways #RailSignaling

In 2020, the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) published a new specification for applying High-Energy Fault Protective Devices (HEFPDs) designed to protect track connected equipment from AC power line faults. Dairyland's innovative mindset and extensive knowledge of AC interference mitigation led to the development of Overwatch HEFPD, a device that operates to the newly established AREMA standard, protects track-connected signal and crossing warning systems, and prevents costly interruptions for users.
