Last week, we were humbled to join the Boys & Girls Clubs of The Columbia Basin and volunteer for Thanksgiving celebrations. More than 20 Silazens came together to play games with the kids and serve up delicious meals at two of our local schools. It was an incredible day of giving back to the #community, sharing good food, and spreading joy. Service is truly rewarding, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to help and make a difference. #CommunityService #Thanksgiving #GivingBack #Sila #GrantCountyWa #MosesLake

As many of you know, Foster Care is an issue I care deeply about. Did you know that every two minutes in the United States, a child enters the foster care system. Kids don't pick their parents or environment. For these vulnerable children, safety, stability, and love become elusive dreams. An organization that has a great impact on solving for this is Foster Love - Together We Rise Please consider donating. Link in first comment

We’re less than two weeks away from the Snowflake Festival, and we’ve only raised $1200 of our $5,000 goal to cover the costs. These kids have already faced so much—separation from their families, loss of stability, and challenges most of us can’t imagine. The Snowflake Festival isn’t just a party; it’s a chance to show them they’re more than just statistics. It’s a night where they can feel joy, community, and hope. But here’s the reality: this event can only happen through the generosity of people like YOU. Without your help, some of these kids might miss out on the warmth and love we’re working so hard to create. Here’s how you can help: 🎁 Donate Now: Even $10 can make a difference. Every dollar helps bring us closer to giving these kids the holiday they deserve. 📣 Share Our Link: Spread the word to your friends, family, and colleagues. Let’s rally together to ensure no foster child is left out this holiday season. Imagine the joy on their faces as they unwrap a gift, laugh with Santa, or share a meal with their foster families. These moments will stay with them far beyond the holiday season, reminding them that they’re cared for and valued. Please, don’t wait. Help us prove to these kids that they deserve happiness too. https://lnkd.in/e8Tfx-EW

Check out all the ways you can support YAP by going to yapinc.org/donate. Did you know that YAP supports global partners in Australia Life Without Barriers, Guatemala, Youth Advocate Programmes Ireland, and Sierra Leone? YAP’s sister agency in Guatemala, Siembra Bien has used youth sports to prevent violence and keep kids engaged in school, but we need your help to keep these vital programs running. By fostering positive relationships and building resilience through sports, we’re helping youth break the cycle of violence and create brighter futures. YAP gives communities safer, more effective alternatives to youth incarceration and other out-of-home placements. Your generosity makes a world of difference.

Every road in Monterey County tells a story of connection. Some stories begin with a simple meal. Some begin with a single act of kindness. Ours begin with volunteers who understand that humanity is more than distance - it's dedication. We don't just deliver food. We deliver dignity. We deliver hope. In the quiet moments between sunrise and noon, our volunteers traverse coastal highways and mountain roads, reaching those often forgotten. They carry more than meals - they carry compassion. Over 7M miles driven. Over 6.7 meals delivered. Countless moments of human connection created. Your two hours can bridge worlds. Your two hours can transform isolation into community. Your two hours can remind someone they are not alone. Meals on Wheels Monterey Peninsula: Where every mile matters. Every moment counts. Be the Connection: mowmp.org/donate

Fifty-eight Guggenheim Securities employees in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco volunteered, this fall, with Carter Burden Network, Covenant House New York, Happy Hope Factory, OneGoal, and WeHero. Projects included facilitating Bingo games for older adults, assembling gift bags with essential hygiene items for youth experiencing homelessness, packing fall-themed activity kits for children receiving long-term care in hospitals, helping students from low-income communities apply to college, and making tug toys for shelter animals. #corporatesocialresponsibility #CSR #givingback #corporatecitizenship

WOULD YOU RATHER create trash, or create lasting change? That’s the question our friends at the Healthy Giving Council have for you. Because listen - the holidays can be an especially difficult time for people struggling with homelessness and family separation. And the natural response from good-hearted people is to find ways to make the season brighter for our unhoused neighbors. But did you know? Not all giving is created equal. ⚖️ 💛 In particular, street giving is especially popular around the holiday season, with some unintended consequences – more litter on the streets, food-borne illness, and other public health and safety concerns. And then what about the other 10 months of the year? The good news is that there’s a better way!! There are many organizations – including the 14 partners at Key Campus – that have the structure, expertise, and procedures in place to provide both immediate relief AND long-term solutions to homelessness. These organizations need your time, talent, and treasure to keep lights on, bellies full, and hope alive. 🤲 🥰 We join with the Healthy Giving Council to challenge you to create lasting change through year-round philanthropy. Whether it’s through volunteer work, wish list donations, or monetary gifts – your support provides hope, which is the gift that keeps on giving. 🙏 Learn more at givesmartaz.org #EndHomelessness #KeysToChangeAZ #KeyCampus #CollaborationIsKey🔑 Healthy Giving Council City of Phoenix Andre House Brighter Way Institute Circle the City Community Bridges Elaine - SDOH Transportation Community Legal Services of Arizona Homeless ID Project St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Charities Community Services A New Leaf St. Vincent de Paul Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) Arizona Department of Economic Security Chaplaincy for the Homeless UMOM New Day Centers
