Compact the soil: After clearing the area, use a plate compactor or a hand tamper to compact the soil. This step is crucial to create a solid and stable base for the pavers. Compact the soil in multiple passes, ensuring that it is firm and level. Lay a geotextile fabric: To prevent weed growth and maintain stability, lay a geotextile fabric over the compacted soil. This fabric acts as a barrier, preventing the sand from mixing with the soil and providing additional strength to the base.
