Great article about our portfolio company, CarbonX, and their most recent funding round in Innovation Origins IO+. ⬇ The article talks about the €4 million raised by the company in December. The company's goals with this money? 👉 The company plans to secure feedstock, increase battery testing capacity and prepare for a facility in the port of Rotterdam. 🔋 China is the source for the majority of graphite for global battery manufacturing, but CarbonX has developed an innovative solution. It uses emulsion feedstock technology to locally produce carbon anode material at similar costs to China, yet with lower CO2 emissions. 🌱💸 Plus the material's 3D network structure boosts battery performance. With a team of 15 people, the company had an eventful 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣. “We received the validation we were seeking from our customers and developed our technology further. Considering the standard for battery development, I think what we achieved in these 12 months was extraordinary,” said Co-Founder and CEO Rutger Van Raalten. “In the coming year, we will focus all of our efforts on helping the existing customers towards supply agreements and prepare for the next funding round—worth €25 million—which we expect to close in the first quarter of 2026,” Rutger continued. The future definitely looks bright for the CarbonX team and here at Borski Fund, we are excited to be on this journey with you. 🚀 Read the full article here > https://lnkd.in/eykasevW #borskifund #femalefounders #innovation #venturecapital #impactinvesting #startup
