How do we deliver great work for our clients? We start by supporting our amazing team of ecosystem strategists, creatives and marketeers. 🌱 We've been working with MOAI for some time now to gather mental health insights to ensure we continue to be a psychologically safe place to work. Why is this so important? A 2018 study found that people working in the creative industries are three times more likely to suffer from mental ill health than the general population. It's Mental Health Awareness Week, and we all understand that life doesn't always paint a picture of sunshine and rainbows. Over the past few weeks, the M2M team has faced a raft of personal challenges: Sick kids (that dreaded ‘pick your kids up’ daycare call), an elderly parent having a nasty fall, illness of loved ones and the sad loss of friends who departed too soon. We recognise that social media often portrays a selective view, focusing on successes and highlights, but rarely delving into the everyday struggles we all encounter. Today, we're changing that narrative. We acknowledge that we are facing our own trials right now, however we are committed to keep moving forward - be it one step at a time. Our action plan? Each day we put gratitude and compassion into action for our M2M team, for our whānau, our friends and community! Lets remember that it's not just about enduring tough times; it's about how we support and uplift each other. Together, we can weather any storm and emerge stronger on the other side. #MentalHealthWeek #ToHelpMyAnxiety

R U OK? Thursday, 14 September marks R U OK? Day, a yearly initiative aimed at encouraging us all to reach out and connect. From its roots in Australia, R U OK? Day has grown into an international movement dedicated to fostering conversations about mental health and well-being. Founded in 2009 by Gavin Larkin, it is an inspiring reminder that a simple question can have profound effects. Why R U OK? Day Matters Breaking Down Stigma By opening dialogues about mental health, R U OK? Day helps dismantle the societal barriers and stigmas surrounding mental illness. It’s a step towards making mental health care accessible to all who need it. Building Community Connections R U OK? Day is not just about individual connections; it’s a community-building event. By reaching out and engaging with those who might be facing challenges, we create a supportive network that goes beyond this one day. Saving Lives Perhaps the most poignant aspect of R U OK? Day is the potential to save lives. A single conversation might be the lifeline someone needs, making this day an essential part of our social responsibility. #ruokday #ruokeveryday #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness

We’ve created a suite of resources for churches interested in raising awareness, starting conversations, and reducing stigma about mental health challenges in their communities. We’re excited to announce that this package is now available on the Life.Church Open Network! Within, you’ll find a guide and editable template for creating a referrals list for mental health professionals in your community, posters, a five-day devotional, a guide outlining five actions you can take today, plus social media and slide deck graphics. Maybe you’re wondering how a church can become a place of belonging and inclusion for all people at all stages of their mental health journeys. Perhaps you’re a church leader wondering how you can get started with a mental health sermon series. Or you attend a church and you’d like your leaders to have the resources they need to delve more into mental health. We’ve created these resources with you in mind. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share them with you and others on such a large platform. Share with those who can use them and check them out at https://hubs.la/Q02vPgcD0.
