This is my favourite project I've seen this year so far - the depth of story telling captured at the architectural level is fantastic!
Great work to all involved bringing this to life!

If a person is transfixed in a position staring at the elevation of a building, or is constantly touching surfaces and feeling textures, or if they are trying weird positions to capture art through a specific angle, congratulations! you have spotted an Architect.
Just stumbled on my academic portfolio - my way of expressing what I learnt during the 5 years of education, how I understood the given design briefs and interacted with it.
You would think the process changes once you start practicing in the professional world...but guess what - It doesn't.
4 years into the profession and I still observe the neighborhood setting - consider the orientation of the spaces and of course, locate the ‘most beloved’ – North before starting the design. The context of space is studied from a user’s perspective along with the experiential quality that the built form has to offer. The movement within the building and how it eases the travel.
Every project has a bigger story to tell.
**My Experience as a Jury Panelist at ACETECH Exhibition 2024: A Full-Circle Journey**
✨Life often takes us on journeys that come full circle, and my experience at the ACETECH Exhibition 2024 has been nothing short of that.
🌿Years ago, as a wide-eyed architecture student, I roamed these very exhibition halls, soaking in inspiration from the innovative designs, ambitious projects, and creative visionaries I aspired to be like one day. Fast forward to today, I found myself returning—not as a spectator, but as a proud jury panelist for the prestigious **Grand Stands Awards**.
✨The transition from a curious student to a professional with a seat at the jury table was humbling and exhilarating. Walking into the event as a panelist, I couldn’t help but reflect on the countless hours of hard work, late nights, and unwavering passion that shaped my journey. The Grand Stands Awards celebrate excellence in exhibition design, rewarding creativity, functionality, and innovation—a perfect representation of the architectural and design ethos I hold close to my heart.
✨As a jury member, my role was no longer just to admire but to critically evaluate. Each stand told a story—of brands striving to push boundaries, designers blending art and commerce seamlessly, and a collective effort to make spaces that captivate and connect. The responsibility of choosing the best was challenging, given the remarkable talent and ideas on display.
✨This experience wasn’t just about judging designs; it was a profound moment of personal growth and realization. Revisiting ACETECH from a different lens reminded me of how far I’ve come and how the seeds of inspiration planted during my student days have blossomed into a rewarding career. It also motivated me to continue striving for excellence while encouraging the next generation of architects and designers to dream big.
✨Being part of ACETECH Exhibition 2024 as a jury panelist for the Grand Stands Awards was not just an honor—it was a milestone, a celebration of the journey that has shaped me, and a reminder of the limitless possibilities that await when passion meets perseverance.

Hongik University has unveiled ten innovative industrial design projects showcasing the future of design. This year's exhibition, themed "New Normal," reflects the concept of 'Inside Beauty,' presenting groundbreaking designs that fuse technology and creativity. Among the highlights is "Glide," an AI-powered fitness device replicating snowboarding, and "Movr," a versatile robotic mobility assistant.
As a professional in architecture and interior design, I find it inspiring to see how students are pushing the boundaries of design, blending traditional elements with modern technology. Their approach serves as a reminder of the importance of creativity in enhancing user experiences in everyday life.
Which project resonates most with you and why? Have you experienced any designs that have positively impacted your lifestyle or work environment? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the integration of technology in design!
These ambitious projects demonstrate the bright future of our industry, particularly in how we can shape user experiences on a deeper level. 🌟

Most ideas start small, imperfect or a little bit loose...
The amazing Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, designed by the architect Frank Gehry is no exception.
It's been described as "a convulsive, majestic, climactic assembly of titanium and stone, of heft and shimmer, a cross-breed of palazzo and ship that also flips its tail like a jumping fish." (Rowan Moore - The Guardian)
Having been lucky enough to visit, it's jaw-dropping and an architectural, creative mind bomb.
But why do I share? I love that original scribble.
That little dash & splash of getting your ideas out into the world, not stressing about what it looks like, being ok with building, twisting, squeezing, flipping and turning it upside down and letting go of 'perfect.'
Let your early ideas go for a walk. Give them some air. Scribble down some ideas. Let them loose.
I think that our idea of 'perfect' can hold our creativity back - personally, in teams and organisationally. Ideas grow by exploring them, testing them and giving them some air - not keeping them in the dark until they are perfect (and often in the process, knocking anyone else's ideas that may not be 'perfect')
Most ideas start small, imperfect or a little bit loose... let them roll.

In 2023, I completed a Summer School project in Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art, which led to ~Cat-ography~ web project.
Have you ever thought about what your home might look like from the perspective of a plant, a spider, or another species? We usually see artificial spaces through a human-centered lens, evaluating architecture and public spaces based on our own convenience. But it’s worth remembering that we’re only one species among many. Even if we don’t always notice, we share our spaces with countless other beings.
~Cat-ography~ explores a fresh approach to map-making. Traditionally, maps are created with a human-centric view, focusing on structures that are significant to us while ignoring hidden niches, side spaces, and underground areas. Imagine if cats were the ones designing maps—how different might they look?
