Throughout the Silver Bay Games teams earned points not only for completing each game, but for teamwork, team spirit, creativity/innovation, excellent execution, good sportsmanship. Points could be deducted from teams for not following the rules, bad sportsmanship, and cheating. Silver Bay Games hosts Shealy and Talia sat down to explain the points each team received during each game, as well as replay some favorite moments from the games for the viewers. Watch the video to find out which team is in the lead! Remember teams still have the opportunity to earn points until 11:59 p.m. on November 28 in the form of donations. This week during the Silver Bay Games teams played one of the more difficult games: "Blind Trust". In this game 3 members of each team were blindfolded and tied together. The remaining team member had to guide their team members through the obstacle course. Once the course was completed teams had to untie and unblindfold themselves before raising their team flag to claim victory. Teamwork, trust, and communication turned out to be the most important skills during this challenge. Make sure to cheer your favorite team on as they race towards the end in this game of Blind Trust. In addition to winning games, teams can earn additional points for every dollar donated to their team. 3 days until Giving Tuesday! Tomorrow, the final game of the Silver Bay Games will be released: Blind Trust. This week during the Silver Bay Games teams played "Stay Afloat" in which they had 10 minutes to design a raft that could support the weight of a bowl full of water. Slim point had to proxies playing on their team this week: Valentina Ron and Luke Callahan. Watch to see what happens during this weeks game! We've had a blast sharing tidbits about Silver Bay YMCA over these past 6 weeks, and we can't wait to share with you the winners of the first ever Silver Bay Games! The Silver Bay Games was created as a way to add an interactive element to our annual Giving Tuesday Campaign. It also allowed for more staff to get involved in the fundraising process!
