We understand every child is unique and we are committed to providing a program that caters to their specific needs. That’s why we offer both one-on-one sessions and our Neurodivergent Youth Group Program over an 8 week term. Our group sessions of 1:4 ratio of therapist to children provide opportunities for social interaction, communication, cooperation and building valuable peer relationships. Studies consistently show that physical activity plays a pivotal role in improving the lives of neurodivergent children and youth including the physical, mental and social health. Recognizing the pressing need for support, our program is open to children with a current diagnosis and for those who find themselves on lengthy waitlists for diagnoses. We are committed to providing assistance when it’s needed most. https://lnkd.in/g9ZyTp2x #FitnessJourney #StrengthTraining #O2Active #ExercisePhysiology #exercisephysiologist #movementismedicine #O2Active #MoveWithPurpose #EP #Lifestyle #WellnessJourney #ClinicalExcellence #healthandwellness #EvidenceBasedPractice #PatientCareCentered #holistichealth #Rehabilitation #ChronicDiseaseManagement #InjuryRehabilitation #ExercisePhysiology #FunctionalFitness #PhysicalTherapy #MindBodyConnection #CommunityHealth #WellnessJourney #OptimalHealth #LifelongWellBeing #ClientFocused #fitnessforall #teamculture

We need policy level changes, but we also need practitioners like Gabriele, operating on the ground, guiding and supporting individuals along each step of their journey towards better health and optimal functioning. #publichealth #childdevelopment #gutbrain #speechlanguage #communityhealth

What’s Your Biggest Challenge in Trauma-Informed OT? One of the most significant challenges I face in trauma-informed pediatric OT is “shifting the culture” around the child to ensure the right supports are put in place. It’s one thing to provide individualised treatment for the child, but it’s a whole different challenge to help the people around them—teachers, caregivers, peers—truly understand the child’s needs and adapt their approach accordingly. It takes time, effort, and often a lot of education to create a trauma-informed environment where children can feel safe and supported. I also find systemic issues difficult. Whether it’s the constraints of the system, funding limitations, or rigid structures, these barriers can sometimes hinder the progress we know is possible. I’m curious - what’s your biggest challenge when working as a trauma-informed therapist? Is it similar to me or something else entirely? Let’s share our experiences and insights! #TraumaInformedCare #OccupationalTherapy #SystemicChange #CultureShift #PaediatricOT #SchoolBasedOT #Collaboration #TraumaInformedSchools
