In the article listed below, BBH Investor Services for Brown Brothers Harriman clarifies misconceptions amongst the T+1 settlement cycle transition. The main goal of this shift is the “acceleration of trade settlements to de-risk the system.” Effective May 28, 2024, all U.S. trades will need to settle on T+1, or one day after they have traded.
