We often call Service training Hospitality training but I say they are not the same. I also think that most companies can gain from Hospitality training - what do you think? #hispitality #service #customerservice #bemorebutler #bestservice https://lnkd.in/eXhbVwv4

I don't personally seperate the two... If you know the technical way to serve (beverages, tea, flaming deserts)....and you demonstrate this service with professional charm, while making your guest feel appreciated and welcomed. I would consider this is hospitality! If you serve a customer with the absence of charm (in silence perhaps) even if it may require special training...i guess you could use the classification of service.

to distinguish between service and hospitality training. While service training is about delivering the functional aspects—taking orders correctly, delivering items promptly, and handling logistics—hospitality training goes deeper. It’s about creating meaningful connections with guests, recognizing their individual needs, and making them feel valued and welcome. Hospitality training nurtures those “soft skills” that elevate a guest’s experience, making them feel personally looked after rather than just efficiently served. Most companies, especially in the hospitality industry, would indeed benefit from a greater focus on hospitality training. It can build stronger guest relationships, increase loyalty, and set a business apart from competitors. The challenge, however, is that hospitality training requires more investment in empathy, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail, which many companies may overlook in favor of quick operational efficiency.
