Local and regional governments and public and private organizations overseeing waterways are recognizing the need for, and actively supporting, programs to provide access to the waters for people with mobility challenges. As these organizations plan facilities for all of their citizens or members, they look for input from various experts in design, engineering, and installation, as well as financing, site evaluation, civic planning, and ecological impact. BoardSafe Docks works with planners and other experts to design, manufacture, and install their innovative, durable, ADA-compliant, accessible aluminum floating docks, kayak launches, and other products. As we seek to meet, inspire, and educate public and private organizations, we attend conferences during the year to make connections that benefit adaptive sports enthusiasts and the communities in which they live. Dundee - LEZ Restrictions Last week we posted about the Aberdeen LEZ restrictions, today we wanted to highlight the Dundee restrictions. We wanted to make a post to show that even with the LEZ coming into force this past weekend, shopping with us, and collection / returning hires is still pain-free and simple to do. Non Compliant Vehicles For those with non-compliant vehicles, we have highlighted all the parking available to you with green dots, as these are all outwith the LEZ restrictions. The nearest one of these to us is the NPC Dundee Marketgait. Compliant Vehicles For those with compliant vehicles, we have highlighted all the parking available to you with blue dots as these are within the LEZ restrictions. The nearest one of these to us is the Shore Terrace Car Park. Public Transportation Accessing the store via public transportation also couldn’t be simpler. We have multiple stops here on Whitehall Street as well as the Nethergate too. The main bus station is also a 7-minute walk from our store. If you’re travelling by train, the station is also a 6-minute walk away. No matter how you plan to visit us, you can do it with ease! Any queries about the LEZ restrictions or boundary map can be found on the Dundee City Council website! #LEZ #LowEmissionZone #LezDundee #Dundee #VisitSundee

There is some great news coming out of BC. The BC public transit system, TransLink is Canada’s first transit system to feature braille signage at all bus stops. https://lnkd.in/gDGYU6z6 The work BC has done is truly commendable, and it underscores the significant work that lies ahead for the entire country! Delving into the crucial aspect of accessible signage, it is imperative to contemplate its importance. As someone who is blind or partially sighted, relying on public transit is paramount for transportation. However, envision the challenge of depending on a system that hasn't been designed with your specific needs in mind. Regrettably, the existing transit systems in Alberta's cities lack accessibility for the sight loss community. Locating a bus stop can be an arduous task since there are no discernible features to identify them, apart from visually reading the signs at the pole's top. This poses a considerable obstacle for those who cannot rely on sight to read the signs, making it challenging to distinguish between a bus stop and other city signage, such as new parking. The installation of tactile, large print, and braille signage is a pivotal step towards inclusivity. By incorporating these features, individuals who are blind or partially sighted gain the ability to access information independently, fostering confidence and enhancing their overall quality of life. It's a significant stride towards creating an environment that prioritizes the needs of everyone, ensuring a more inclusive and accessible community. Alberta, let's follow the steps of our provincial neighbor and create safe and accessible journeys for all. #accessibility #SafeAndAccessibleJourneys #AccessibleSignage #AccessibleTransit

The Important Of Refreshing Las Vegas Road Markings Millions see Las Vegas road markings every day. Most take them for granted, not realizing their important role in keeping thoroughfares safe and functional. Municipalities spend big bucks keeping roads, crosswalks, bike lanes and other public surfaces in good shape. Road markings should be part of that effort....https://bit.ly/3z1IFkL

Yep…being on these Best-Of lists surely does add to Greenville’s rapid growth, but it also adds equity for property owners in the form of demand-increased property value. It’s a double edged sword (more traffic & higher real estate prices in some areas, etc..), but ultimately, it’s a good thing. The alternative would be a flat or declining market, which comes with real baggage.
Love it or hate it, Greenville has been recognized (again) as one of the best places to live in the US, this time coming in at #4 in US News and World Report, behind Naples, Boise, and Colorado Springs. Interestingly, our neighbors in Charlotte came in at 5. Many will say that we're becoming too crowded and our roads can't handle the traffic (both of which may be true), but we also need to remember that a rising tide lifts all boats, and Greenville's popularity is ushering in a boom in the surrounding markets as well. Small towns that were sleepy and, in many cases, dilapidated just a few years ago are now bustling with vibrant restaurants and small businesses. Look no further than case studies such as Greer, Simpsonville, Fountain Inn, and Woodruff.
Greenville is one of the Best Places to Live in America.

As the weather warms up (very slowly!), it puts us in the mood to get out and explore the spectacular scenery and cities and towns across British Columbia. That’s why it was so fun to work on this recent project for BC Ferries, encouraging ferry riders to take Route 30 when traveling between Metro Vancouver and Nanaimo. You see, there are two routes that do that voyage. Route 2, which travels between Horseshoe Bay and Nanaimo, tends to be much busier than Route 30, which leaves from Tsawwassen. If people just knew they could take Route 30, they’d wait less and may get their getaways started sooner. We created a campaign with a fresh look and feel, featuring a bold graphic approach and benefit-focused headlines that stands out from other photo-based BC Ferries creative. In fact, this is an update to our previous campaign promoting Route 30, which was super successful. TLDR: If you’re sailing between Nanaimo and Vancouver, take Route 30 from Tsawwassen. It’s less busy, so you’re more likely to sail straight on board.
