Interesting article. A recent report has revealed that over half UK employees didn't have an exit interview when leaving their employer. It does seems like a massive missed opportunity for employers for a couple of good reasons. Merely understanding the reason why someone has decided to leave their organisation to go somewhere else can help the company learn and improve conditions perhaps for other existing and future employees and therefore create a better working environment and improve retention. Another reason is to ensure that the employee is leaving on the best terms possible in order to limit any possible negative impact on the employer brand as a whole, i.e Feedback provided by the ex-employee on Glassdoor or other business review websites. It doesn't have to a long interview but making it part of the off-boarding process, I feel is an extremely valuable exercise. https://lnkd.in/eByrdFtn

11moIt is a really good point - is potentially one of the issues is employers not wanting to listen to - or accept - criticism?
