On April 27, 2024, my life changed in a way I never expected. At 40 years old, I was diagnosed with #breastcancer. The journey since that day has been incredibly tough—both physically and emotionally. My treatment started with a #mastectomy, followed by #lymphnodeclearance surgery, and I am currently going through #chemotherapy. After chemo, I'll continue my fight with #hormonetherapy and #radiotherapy. As part of this treatment, I'm also in a chemically induced #menopause, which has brought its own challenges. 😥 💔 Throughout this difficult time, #BreastCancerNow has been a pillar of support for me. Their services, particularly #SomeoneLikeMe and #YoungerWomenTogether, have been invaluable. Connecting with other women facing the same challenges has provided me with comfort, strength, and a sense of community. That’s why this cause is so close to my heart. 💕 When I first learned about Breast Cancer Now's Wear it Pink fundraiser, I thought it would be a fun and impactful way to give back. I envisioned getting my employer involved, rallying local community groups, and hosting events. However, chemotherapy has taken a lot out of me. Despite my best efforts, I simply haven’t had the energy to organize anything this year. That’s where you come in... I’m turning to my online communities—both personal and professional—to help me make a difference. On October 18th (or whenever you can, October is #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth), please wear something pink and share a photo on your socials using my hashtag #racyreddoesthepinkthing and the charities hashtag #WearItPink. AUGUST LEAGUE TABLE + COMPETITION Our Monthly Order Volume League Table has arrived a little sweeter this month, with a new competition to spice things up! 🌶️ If you can correctly predict the top vehicle model in all three sectors for September, you will win a £100 Amazon voucher! 💰 Get guessing below, using this format: Private car: XXX Business car: XXX Business LCV: XXX Rules: This competition is not open to employees of QV Systems. One entry per person. Guesses must be at CAP model level e.g. Ford Transit Custom 280 L1 FWD, not CAP range level e.g. Ford Transit. If there are mutiple correct answers, the winner will be drawn at random. QV Systems' adjudication in any matter relating to this competition is final. Onto the League table itself, where our CEO Daniel shares his thoughts on the rankings for the month. 🗓️ A strong month, with order volumes up by 125% (private), 85% (business) and 73% (business LCV) respectively. I guess it's that time of the year! Nissan's dominance of the private chart continues, with three entries in the top five: the Qashqai, Juke and Leaf making up more than one-third of all the orders in top ten. The Golf rises from three to one this month, more than doubling its order volume over July. There are four BEVs in the business car chart this month, the Nissan Leaf at three, the Tesla Model Y at four, the Polestar 2 at seven and the BMW i4 at nine. The combined order volume of these four is eclipsed by the car in top spot, the Citroen C3! Is this bodyshop business, or just a very strong offer from Citroen? Another BEV-free month for the LCV chart, with Ford dominating the table with four of a possible ten positions on the rankings. The LCV orders are more evenly spread than the other charts, with the top vehicle taking only 2.25 times the orders of 10th place, compared to 5 times for private and a whopping 7.1 times for business car. Some new analysis has revealed a select group of vehicles that have been in the charts since we first published this data in May: Private car: Nissan Qashqai, Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Tiguan Business car: Citroen C3, Polestar 2, Volkswagen Tiguan Business LCV: Ford Transit Custom 280 L1 FWD, Ford Ranger Diesel Which vehicle will haven the longest run? 40 years ago today, I joined the RAF. I can’t believe how much time has passed, how much has changed and how much there is still to look forward to that remains. All through my working life I have been blessed with great comrades, workmates, colleagues and clients. There have been ups and downs of course, but it is how you come out the other end that matters. Whenever anyone asks me for my advice, I always tell them that kindness, humilty and humanity are paramount in life. If you focus on these 3 things, everything else will follow.

Digital Innovation Developer for Suffolk New College - Implementing a cross-college technical programme to ensure technology is used competently, confidently and effectively to meet industry needs.
It was fantastic to celebrate some of the mentors who have been supporting and guiding our learners last night at Chef's Whites restaurant in Suffolk New College. It was also an opportunity to give thanks to our games jam judges who are involved in the upcoming 2024 New Anglia Jam! It was great to see Kara Thurkettle, Phil McEwan, Simon Isaac FCIM (who unfortunately had to leave before the photo), Matt Stringer and Matt Miller at the table who continue to give their time and expertise as part of the mentorship programme. Equally as valued are Yasmin Willis, Corrie Jones, Kevin Linsell and James Bavington who unfortunately couldn't attend. Thank you all so much for all you do for our learners! Demitrius James Yanis Gilhooley, Lucy Kyriakidou and Paul Housden represented the games jam judges who could make it. I'm looking forward to the results of their categories in the games jam in June along with Heather Bishop, Chris Filip and the SKC Games Studio team.
