Hard to believe it has been over a year since completing my dissertation. My research allowed me to explore the use of Artificial Intelligence in the creative world. This subject is interesting as a creative who is concerned about my role being replaced, it was vital for me to research this topic and put my concerns to rest. ARTICLE~ "SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY STUDIES" The interdisciplinary discipline of Science and Technology Studies (STS) studies how science and technology are created, developed, and used in relation to various cultural, social, and political settings. It began to take shape in the middle of the 20th century when academics realised that science and technology should not be viewed as separate but rather as essential parts of society. Fundamentally, STS aims to clarify the workings and consequences of scientific discoveries and technology advancements. It investigates the ways in which scientific inquiry, technological advancement, and society are shaped by social, economic, and political factors. This mutually reinforcing interaction emphasises how human values, interests, and power dynamics impact science and technology, rather than making them completely objective or impartial. How scientific truths are created is one of the central issues of STS. In order to comprehend how knowledge is created, researchers in this subject look into the procedures, tools, and methods employed in science. They also examine how government policies, funding organisations, and scientific communities influence the goals and results of research. STS also focuses on technological systems and artefacts. The area looks at how technologies are created, deployed, and used while taking usability, accessibility, and ethical considerations into account. This involves researching the evolution of commonplace items as well as intricate systems like information or transportation networks. Additionally, STS explores how science and technology affect society. It covers topics like the digital divide, environmental sustainability, and technological danger. Through the analysis of both historical and modern case studies, STS offers valuable insights into the ways in which technology improvements can result in both positive and negative outcomes. All things considered, Science and Technology Studies is an essential discipline that unites the sciences and humanities.
