I help innovators build movements of engaged co-innovators, early adopters, channel partners, power users, funders, industry allies, researchers, and thought leaders.
Innovation in secret is often just wandering around alone in the dark. "Stealth" innovation efforts are often just efforts to hide from the truth and to delay finding out that you were chasing what was for you all along a dead end. It's not because the idea or insight was bad, or the planned execution wouldn't have worked. It's often because that without interacting with others, your idea had no chance of finding product market fit, and your people never got the opportunity to succeed in small wins that the confidence in executing in ambiguity delivers. Don't innovate alone. This doesn't mean you have to go completely open source and give up your IP and the illusion you have a protective moat. It means engaging in the kinds of activities that refine an idea, build relationships to execute on it, and get real feedback from the marketplace on what you're doing. If this kind of innovation appeals to you, you might like this upcoming free workshop for intrapreneurs, platform oriented entrepreneurs, and innovation ecosystem builders. It's called "Innovation Ecosystems: 6 Engagement Approaches that Build Movements." In it I'll show how to use Low-Cost Events for Convening, Aligning with Other Innovation Movements, Co-Creating Industry Content, Co-Defining Success, Co-Developing Products, and Coalitions that Build Capacity. I help innovators build movements of engaged co-innovators, early adopters, channel partners, power users, funders, industry allies, researchers, and thought leaders.
Innovation: when a movement beats a product Elon didn't invent the electric car, Apple didn't invent the smartphone, and Sam doesn't own AI. Just because you have innovative ideas doesn't mean they need to come to life in a product, startup, or new business unit. Many ideas actually get stifled in those settings because they're bigger than any one person's ability to shepherd them to life. A movement generates products and businesses because it's bigger than any one implementation of it. This is because the idea is what's coming to life through the innovator, not the innovator creating something out of whole cloth themselves. It's naive to think that the person with the patent, the copyright, or the first mover advantage was smarter than everyone else. A great innovator is a master of the context, though - what's emerging, what it combines with well, who it best helps. They aren't the smartest person in the room, they're the best reader and orchestrator of the room in that moment. Do you want to be part of changing the world for the better? Learn 6 approaches for innovation leaders to turn ideas about the future into movements that have impact. This free workshop will highlight examples of the work that I've done for organizations from founder-only to large enterprises - you can orchestrate a movement whatever your domain, and whatever your budget. https://lnkd.in/ggb5UqMT

I Guide Medtech and Healthtech Founders in Building and Scaling Solutions by Combining 30+ Years of Clinical Practice, Executive Leadership, and Military Precision. Former CEO & White House | Board Member | Veteran
Perhaps surprisingly, success in healthcare innovation takes more than a great idea – it takes strategic execution. I have seen firsthand that founders who carefully align their teams and refine and sharpen their strategies are the ones who have the best chance of breaking through. We are excited to help companies navigate this complex but rewarding journey.
In healthtech and medtech, innovation isn’t enough. Founders who succeed don’t just build companies haphazardly — they execute with precision. From aligning teams to refining go-to-market strategies, the ability to turn an idea into a fully scalable business makes the difference between a smashing success story and failure. We partner with founders to ensure that every step — pre-funding through to expansion — is a strategic one. Ready to take your next step? Let’s connect.
