As reported by Axios More than 8 million asylum seekers and other migrants will be living inside the U.S in legal limbo by the end of September — a roughly 167% increase in five years, according to internal government projections obtained by Axios. Why it matters: That's up from about 3 million in 2019 — a sign of how the underfunded and outdated U.S. immigration system can't keep up with the rapidly growing migrant population driven by new border surges. #openborders #illegalaliens #migrants #undocumentedworkers #asylum #immigration

Schengen is dead Germany has come to realize that open borders are no longer acceptable in this day and age of anti-immigration global sentiment. Recent victories by the far right in Germany indicate the consensus opinion within the country and encourage Germany and other countries to selectively shut its borders or at least begin to enforce them in order to reduce illegal immigration but more importantly to reduce "undesirable" immigration. In looking at the clear victories by the far right parties in 2 regions in recent elections it's clear that immigration was the central issue. I believe this is the tip of the iceberg with a number of countries beginning to enforce and respect their national interests above and beyond those of open border European Schengen policy. #Immigration #Schengen #Germany #Europe #farright #trump

The recent failure of the Border Bill in Congress has sparked outrage among many. However, after a closer look, it appears that the bill would have done little to control illegal immigration and may have even increased the flow of illegal immigrants across the border. My article provides a breakdown of the 370-page bill, revealing its main focus on providing billions in aid to illegal immigrants already in the country and those who manage to get here in the future. Check out the article for a detailed explanation. #BorderBill #ImmigrationPolicy #illegalimmigrants #migrants #congress Link to the article: https://lnkd.in/gH8iikvD

It will be interesting to see how this gets spun. Chinese refugees are fleeing to America and having to come across the border illegally. Not because they want to do so, because they have no other option. They have a repressive government, and want the freedom that they deserve. We need reform on our immigration policies. We have the room and we have the food to doubled our Nation's size fairly comfortably. Why would we not make it easy for the best to come here? We want to allow immigrants to easily become citizens. Immigrants have driven much of our growth over the past 250 years. Read the article here and let me know what you think: https://lnkd.in/gsd33Gjs

property management (long-term rentals & secondary residences) & language services (interpreting & translating)
“How did we get here? The dominant narrative on the right has compared illegal immigration to an invasion, facilitated by criminal cartels and accepted by ‘open borders’ liberals. On the left, an alternative narrative is that the surge in immigration is essentially driven by poverty, violence and other misery in origin countries, portraying migrants as refugees in need of protection. But both narratives ignore the real reason for the border crisis: a hypocritical immigration system that refuses to acknowledge the U.S. economy’s persistent need for lower-skilled labor. The rise in illegal immigration is mainly driven by unprecedented labor demand and the absence of legal channels to accommodate it. Tougher enforcement at the border is no solution to this mismatch. In fact, it is a big part of the problem.” https://lnkd.in/evuK3PjE
