A couple days back, I talked about Notion. Today I'm bringing to you yet another interesting product Make, an automation software. In the past couple of years, Make.com went into hypergrowth phase. Won Golden kitty awards of Product Hunt as well. With e-commerce, digital agencies and SaaS as their top industries, it's fair to say that they have positioned themselves well against Zapier. What I love about this product is the fairly less learning curve and clean UI. Automation in itself is very close to me as an industry. I hate repetitive work, love systems and a tool that enables you to do it, I would always have great words for them. Btw, the user growth and scenarios, wouldn't you just love to see this adoption numbers as a PM? 🥂

"Don’t start with product, features, ideas, or hypotheses. Start with a good understanding of target audiences’ tasks, experiences, and pain points. Be solution-agnostic early in your process." Really enjoyed reading this article challenging the existing product dilemma between development and customer experience: At the end of the day, a product will not exist/survive if it does not serve customer needs. So there is clearly a prioritization in the process rather than merely "introduce five new features", or "UAT by Friday"- to try winning the jackpot. "Building the right products" should always be tackled prior to "building the product right."

One of the most overlooked trends in product development today is the shift towards Product-led growth strategies. Traditionally, companies relied on heavy sales and marketing to drive adoption. But now, the product itself is becoming the main growth engine. This means features like self-service onboarding, in-app tutorials, and frictionless upgrades are crucial for scaling. It's no longer just about building a great product—it's about ensuring the product can sell itself.

User feedback is the lifeblood of product development. Imagine pouring your heart into a product, only to find out it doesn't resonate with your users. It's a common scenario for both early and later-stage companies. Even if the product looks and feels nice to the founder, the users ultimately decide its fate. In this video, learn how crucial feedback even reshaped our sales presentation, proving that looks aren't everything.

When building, it's tempting to make a product with 𝘭𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘴 of features. Even before releasing it to customers. But that's a bad idea. And here's why. ⏰ Each feature requires more time. 📅 It pushes the launch date far into the future. ❓ You don't know if every feature is necessary. The worst case scenario is if you end up releasing a feature that customers don't need. You took a lot of time to develop that feature. You've delayed the launch for 3 months. And now nobody's biting. That's why it's best to start small and iterate on customer feedback. Release early. Learn with your customers. Remember: Don't develop features if you don't know customers need it.

Fast-tracking your Product Development – it’s like setting up pins in a bowling alley..... Early stage customer research is critical if you are to fast-track development without endless iterations before a successful product is achieved. It is hard. A developer has many directions for development – which one has the most chance of success? One thing consumers have taught me, they are no good at describing what they want. There are endless examples of developers misunderstanding what the consumer is trying to tell us. Part of it lies in the language – theirs and ours. Sometimes they cannot describe what they want but they will know it when they see it! Consider your options like pins in a bowling alley. Give them as many options to look at or experience as you can. If there are options around 360 degrees – give them examples in every direction. Consumers may not be able to describe what they want but they are great at reacting to options. Given examples and options, they know exactly which one they want. They will knock down the pins they don’t want – leaving you with the pins representing the products most likely to be successful! #designthinking #technology #consumerinsights #marketresearch
