While APIs can streamline many aspects of insurance advisory and transactions, there's a vital human element that can't be overlooked. In traditional insurance, the personal touch, empathy, and guidance provided by human agents are invaluable, especially in regions where insurance literacy is low. Even as technology advances, there's still a need for human interaction, particularly in educating customers and helping them navigate complex insurance processes and terminologies. Empathy and active listening play a significant role in building trust and ensuring that customers feel understood and supported. The transition to a fully automated system raises important questions about how to balance the efficiency of self-administration with the value of having a real person intermediary. While automation can offer convenience and speed, it's essential to consider how to maintain a human connection and provide support for customers who may not be comfortable or familiar with fully automated processes. Ultimately, successful insurance systems of the future will likely involve a blend of technology and human expertise, where APIs facilitate seamless transactions while human agents provide personalized guidance and support when needed. It's about finding the right balance to meet the diverse needs of customers while embracing the benefits of technological innovation.
Are your legacy insurance systems ready to embrace the embedded insurance revolution? 🤔 For almost 12 years, that's been my world. Working with distribution platforms used to mean dealing with traditional products. Not anymore. Now, we're dealing with subsets of those traditional products, creating a whole new layer of complexity. With embedded insurance, the challenge becomes how to keep your legacy systems updated. That means having the right API connectivity and the appropriate flexibility. But there's more. 🙌 Traditional insurance processes heavily involved human touch, from understanding what they're underwriting to deciding the selling cost. However, embedded insurance needs to be immediate and self-sold, eliminating the privilege of human intervention. There's a dire need for automated underwriting so you can have your products sold on the spot. Legacy systems, API connectivity, and the acceptance of no human underwriting are significant hurdles but essential for progress. Do you find these challenges resonating with you? #DigitalTransformation #InsurTech #InsuranceInnovation #DigitalStrategy #InsuranceIndustry
