I know this isn't in the spirit with today being Valentine's Day... but, let's talk about break-ups 💔. I'm not talking about your personal relationship breakups, but about breaking up with your employer. I read an article today by People Management that highlighted “The majority of employees (86%) would be more likely to leave a job if it did not support their well-being.” 💭 I mean, it's not exactly surprising, is it? What i do find surprising is that companies choose not to implement wellbeing benefits, or do the bare minimum and question why they have such high turnover... 🤨 The research surveyed 1,000 UK employees and 300 decision-makers across a range of sectors – and also found that as part of an ‘enhanced benefits package’, 20% of employees would value EDI training, 18% LGBTQ+ inclusion training and 19% workshops on understanding the impact of menopause. This highlights that the needs of every person are unique and reinforces that the one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work. It also sheds light on the difficulty employers face when implementing a benefit that works, just above you can see 3 separate topics alone. The good news for companies is solutions to solve this problem do exist. Heka has an expert partner for each of the areas mentioned above and provides the opportunity for employees to engage with support in areas such as LGBTQ+, Menopause, Professional development and many more. If you want to prevent your employees from breaking up with you, it might be worth learning more about Heka. Alternatively, if you're interested in reading more from the article, you can find this below. #valentinesday #wellbeing #benefits

I guide progressive leaders and their teams away from toxic productivity and burnout, towards greater self-awareness, equanimity, balance and JOY! Silent retreats deepen the coaching & mindfulness experience.
The stigma around mental health at work remains formidable. How on earth might we see this changing? Whose responsibility is it? This article suggests it’s the workplace’s responsibility to help end the shame–especially as new sources of potential stress are hoisted on a workforce. Many employees are navigating financial worries, disruptive new technology like A.I. (“AI anxiety” is already documented), social policy issues, and ongoing racial, religious, and LGBTQ discrimination in a polarized society-at-large. How a business runs from top down will and can make it a place where employees are psychologically comfortable and thriving. We need progressive leaders to step up. #leadership #mentalhealth

How do you promote positive interactions and meaningful relationships among your employees? Around the globe, different teams celebrate the power of community differently, but what it is the same is the result - unity. When teams support one another in building a connected and inclusive environment, diverse people come together across lines of difference. This is Social Wellness Month and we challenge you to find a way to make a contribution in your workplace, no matter how small, that adds to the feeling of safety for everyone. When people are safe to be who they are, they feel valued. It starts with a kind word, an intentional action that includes and it grows from there. Together, they create a workplace where everyone is valued. #kaleidoscopegroup #diversityandinclusion #inclusion #diversity #inclusionmatters
