I recently had a conversation with a friend about the benefits of ogi, also known as pap, which contains probiotics beneficial to gut health. Despite its nutritional value, she expressed a strong dislike for it and insisted she would never eat it. When I suggested an improved version for her children, she remained adamant about not including it in their diet. While I respect personal preferences, I believe that a parent's dislike for a particular food should not dictate what their children consume, especially when it comes to their health. In our efforts to combat malnutrition and obesity among children, we must set aside personal sentiments and prioritize providing the best possible nutrition for their growth and development. Ogi, with its rich nutrient content, can play a crucial role in achieving this goal. #nutritioneducation #infantfedding #probiotics #nigeriannutritionist

Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to offer significant benefits for individuals suffering from headaches and migraines. Research highlights that increasing the intake of omega-3s, especially from sources like fatty fish, can reduce both the frequency and severity of migraines. A study funded by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health found that participants who consumed diets high in omega-3 fatty acids experienced fewer headaches and less severe pain. Fatty acids in our diet, particularly those found in seafood like eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), can influence pain levels by affecting the body's production of pain-related compounds called oxylipins Have you tried using Omega-3s to manage headaches or migraines? Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition - I help people with autoimmunity nourish their foundation so they can live lives free of dis-ease - Creator of The Lovely Method
Welcome to the hydration series. In this series, I will share non-invasive, nature-oriented, holistic tools and strategies around hydration. Water is the most common nutrient deficiency. The clients I work with are chronically dehydrated - and many don't even know it. SO MANY THINGS can be alleviated just by understanding HOW to hydrate and then taking imperfect action in adjusting your hydration. When discussing hydration with my clients, I see 2 types of clients. Client 1 - is drinking hardly any water and consuming a lot of diuretics (coffee, tea, soda, fruit juice). Client 2 - drinks tons of water, but isn't absorbing it The vast majority of people with autoimmunity (autointoxication) live in low-grade chronic dehydration without even realizing it. They also have no idea how balancing hydration can impact their symptoms. I help you personalize a nutrition plan to you - hydration is an important nutrient.
