"Leaving a livable environment and society for the next generation." ... Our CEO, Christian Witz, has guided SimVantage through its early stages with a deep commitment to innovation and integrity. By continuously incorporating customer #feedback into our technology, Christian has ensured that SimVantage not only meets industry needs but also drives meaningful change in the #pharmaceutical and #biotech sectors. His vision is clear: to make complex biotech products more accessible and affordable, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable world. 🌎 Christian’s leadership is grounded in the simple yet powerful principle of #listening — truly understanding the needs of customers, employees, and stakeholders. This approach fosters trust and collaboration, creating real value for everyone involved. Under his guidance, SimVantage has achieved significant milestones, from successfully integrating our technology into a cloud platform to building strong, lasting relationships with our customers. These achievements are a testament to his belief in the power of innovation and the agility of our #leanorganizationalstructure. Christian is deeply committed to #sustainability and fosters a culture where every team member’s contributions are valued. He tries to ensure everyone understands the impact of their work, creating a shared purpose that strengthens the team. Fortunately, he has his wife Sandra, who supports him in difficult decisions, and his family, who also actively participates in company traditions like packaging Christmas greetings. 🎁 Balancing the demands of leadership with personal fulfillment?... Well, that's still a work in progress for Christian... - he’s definitely open to tips! 😄 His recent foray into swimming 🏊♂️ , where he learned crawl with Thomas Kammerlander, is a testament to his belief in lifelong learning and, let's be honest, his refusal to sink—both in the pool and in life. 😃 He tries to train several times a week, and it’s making him stronger every day. 💪 Christian’s journey has been shaped by a rich blend of experiences and #education. He holds a degree in Industrial Environmental Protection and Recycling Technology from Leoben, where he specialized in #processengineering. He later earned his doctorate and completed his postdoctoral research under Prof. Johannes Khinast at Technische Universität Graz. The workshops and bootcamps from the Spin-Off Fellowship Program at FFG Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH were also a crucial part of his training before founding SimVantage and continue to influence his approach today. His participation in the ProScientia Scholarship and the Forum Alpbach Network have further shaped his thinking, driving SimVantage forward with a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and a vision for a better future. #Throwback to Syensqo's #InnovationWeek! From Brussels to Paris and Milan, Syensqo's brilliant minds joined forces with Nobel laureates, Ernest Solvay Prize winners, innovators, startups, customers, and more to explore the endless possibilities of science and technology. It was nothing short of amazing! AND we also had this year’s edition of #GirlsLeadinginScience, which brought together 50 young and talented #STEM students for a hackathon focused on developing solutions to combat water waste and climate change. A topic very close to my heart. Of course, our celebration of innovation doesn’t just last for a week; it is at the core of everything we do at Syensqo. With 15% of our workforce dedicated to Research & Innovation (R&I), 12 major R&I sites around the globe, 5% of our turnover invested in R&I, and more than 600 scientific patents filed within the last 5 years, we are explorers constantly in pursuit of breakthrough innovations that enable the circular economy, clean mobility, biobased solutions and more. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this great week a reality. Kudos to the Syensqo team – their dedication and innovative thinking are incredibly inspiring! Today and everyday, let’s push the limit of science to advance humanity! #AdvancingHumanity #WeAreExplorers Hello Tomorrow

🌟 New Episode of Hot Takes! Science vs. Business: Why the rivalry?🌟 Join us this month as we host a very special guest - Xu Simon PhD, MBA, COO of Enozo Technologies! With new startups spinning out universities left and right, it seems like a no-brainer that scientists should have some understanding of business operations when they are in graduate school or undergraduate. However, there still seems to be a rift between academia and industry, which ultimately hurts students, future business owners, and anyone that might be deciding if they want a career in science. Join us as Xu discusses the benefits she has seen when she combined science and business (she has a PhD in Biology and an MBA!) Listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/g4tJPRX8 Have you experienced the effects of this friction between science and industry? Check out this short documentary from one of the National Science Challenges, Science for Technological Innovation. 📺 Highlighted in the documentary are interviews with researchers, communities, industry and SfTI leaders, who outline the great work that has been supported by the National Science Challenge over the past decade. From the doco: Pauline Harris says "we've seen thousands of human connections made at SfTI events, that bridge the gap between skilled scientists, and the people they ultimately want to help." 🙌
Resourcing relationships as well as research has primed Aotearoa for a flourishing high-tech future. 🌏 In the final months of the Science for Technological National Science Challenge, the SfTI team has been working hard to capture stories and data that allows us to share the lessons learned from this decade-long mission-led experiment. 🔬 ✨ Watch our short documentary to see some of the teams and technologies that have pushed the limits of high-tech science with SfTI support over the years. 🌀 We are so proud to see the power of the diverse and broad networks that our mission-led approach to science has created and how building a sense of community around science has supported innovation. https://lnkd.in/geJ2y9t2 #NZSciChallenges #SfTI MBIE Science Science Media Centre of New Zealand Callaghan Innovation Victoria University of Wellington Auckland University of Technology University of Canterbury Lincoln Agritech Limited University of Otago Lincoln University (NZ) Cawthron Institute Ageing Well - Kia eke kairangi ki te taikaumātuatanga Sustainable Seas National Science Challenge Building Better Homes, Towns and Cities A Better Start National Science Challenge E Tipu e Rea High-Value Nutrition Ko Ngā Kai Whai Painga Our Land and Water National Science Challenge Resilience to Nature's Challenges KiwiNet Wellington UniVentures chaz doherty Te Taka Keegan Jamie Bell Leonie Jones Millan Ruka Richard Green Hēmi Whaanga Grace Brown (nee. AMION are excited to lead research into the regulatory barriers faced by UK businesses in the Foundation Industries (FIs) in collaboration with FIVe. Stay tuned for more updates! #MarketResearch #FoundationIndustries
📢 We’re excited to announce the launch of “FIVengage” the go-to network that will break down the regulatory challenges faced by the UK Foundation Industries (FIs). FIVengage is funded by Innovate UK’s Science and Innovation Network: Discovery Phase competition, in partnership with Foundation Industries Sustainability Consortium (FISC), Transforming Foundation Industries Network+ and TransFIRe Hub We know each of the FIs, #cement, #metals, #ceramics, #paper, #glass, and #chemicals face the same regulatory issues across their value chains and stakeholders. FIVengage will be the first network to unite #innovators, #startups, industry, investors, and universities to tackle industry specific and FI-wide challenges. We’ll accelerate innovation pathways using three key pillars: · #Collaboration: working with our partners to gather research and build a strong stakeholder network that will deliver regulatory science to accelerate innovation. · #Education: engaging stakeholders to identify the training required to up-skill the innovation value chain and deliver targeted training as a trusted education partner. · #Communication: communicate research findings with the wider community and become the go to, trusted network to influence policy through innovator-informed evidence. Look out for our upcoming online workshops and in-person sandpit events, in association with AMION Consulting to gather data on innovation, regulatory barriers, training needs, and research support. 👉 If you would like to be involved in FIVegage or want to find out more about FIVe please get in touch at info@fiventures.org #excitingtimes #FIVe #FoundationIndustries
