We are just a day away from our next event from our Spatial Nexus program, under our "Challenge-me" chapter. Multiplexing Spatial Analysis with the COMET As scientists, it is important to learn and understand from different vantage points. Spatial DOES NOT mean only spatial transcriptomics. And that is how the Spatial Nexus program was born and we are proud to present the next technology that screens for proteins The COMET from Lunaphore Using the COMET technology as a pivot, come join us to hear from two experts on the important questions we need to ask for spatial biology and how cross-platform analysis is important and how it can be done. And to also participate in the discussions yourself. Here in downtown Toronto? Come join us at the PMCC Auditorium and for lunch thereafter. Or join us virtually on zoom. To investigate the interactions of cells in a co-culture, I had to figure out a way to detect specifically the cells of one population (or the other) on the images. The solution involved annotating a few thousand cell nuclei on #multimodalmicroscopy images, taken by my great collaborators Beatriz Díaz B. and Lorna Ammer. 🔬 Datasets of annotated mixed-cell populations are rare in the literature, particularly on multimodal images, and could serve as critical perturbations to the training of #DeepLearning segmentation models by changing the context around the objects of interest. In the spirit of transparency and sharing and to prepare for the imminent launch of #Celldetective to the public, these datasets are already available on Zenodo, along with the models we trained from them: https://lnkd.in/dHmVh-ye
