Oftentimes, individuals may resort to shaming or mocking those who seek assistance when facing challenges. It is important to recognize that seeking help does not signify weakness or a loss of control. Rather, it demonstrates one's humanity and acknowledges the imperfection inherent in everyone, which is entirely acceptable. #mentalhealth #quotesoftheday

#NationalCrimeVictimsRightsWeek2024 The way you choose to respond to survivors can determine their comfort level in moving forward towards healing as well as deciding to ever share their story again. When listening to survivors, it’s crucial to offer a supportive response. Validate the survivor’s narrative, emotions, and courage to share. Offer words of encouragement such as: “I believe you.” “Thank you for sharing with me.” “What happened to you is not your fault.” “You are very brave.” “Regardless of what anyone may say, you are not to be blamed for this experience.” “It takes a lot of courage to talk about what happened.” Normalize the survivor’s response. Speak encouraging words such as: “You are not alone.” “It is okay to feel this way.” “Your reaction to this situation is common.” #NCVRW2024 #YouAreNotAlone #SarahsFriendsSupport #HopeAndHealing #CrimePrevention #CommunityStrength

Joining the world today in preventing suicidal deaths. The theme this year, "Changing the narrative on suicide, start the conversation," reminds us that every life matters, and that open dialogue can save lives. WHY START THE CONVERSATION? ● We never know who might be silently struggling. ● Listening with empathy can make a world of difference. Whether it's with a loved one, friend or workmate - start the conversation today. Together, we can create a world where seeking help is seen as strength, and where no one feels alone in their struggles. #Worldsuicidepreventionday #Starttheconversation #Changingthenarrative #WSPD2024 #WSPD #Graphicdesign #Communications

❌STOP NEEDING APPROVAL. START LIVING. . You don’t need everyone to love or approve of you. That’s a lie you keep telling yourself. The belief that you need constant approval is irrational and it’s keeping you weak. . Here’s the reality: Not everyone will like you. Not everyone will approve of you, and that’s perfectly fine. The world isn’t here to cater to your need for validation. Trying to win over every person is a waste of your energy and your potential. . You’re making yourself miserable chasing after the approval of people who don’t even matter. If you live your life constantly needing other people’s approval, you’ll never be free. . Here’s a rational truth: You can be content with or without their approval. You’re not less worthy if someone doesn’t give you the validation you’re chasing. You make yourself worthwhile by what you do, not by how many people say they like you. . Stop the irrational thinking. Stop worrying about who loves you and start focusing on what you want to do. You can’t control what others think, but you can control whether you let it control you. . https://lnkd.in/eWSTXgd9 . #REBT #CBT #EMDR #PTSDAwareness #TraumaInformed #MentalHealthMatters #PublicSafety #StressRelief #EmotionalHealing #CrisisIntervention #FirstResponderSupport #PoliceMentalHealth #PTSD #MilitaryMentalHealth #combatPTSD #PolicePTSD #PublicSafetyHeroes #FirstResponderSupport #LawEnforcementWellness #MilitaryMentalHealth #FrontlineHeroes #ResponderResilience #ServiceStrong #HeroesNeedHelpToo #TakeActionNow #WarriorMindset
