Reflecting on My Transformative Internship Experience at IEUK Three months ago, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a four-day internship at IEUK, an experience that has profoundly shaped my understanding of corporate etiquette, culture, and the pressing issues facing businesses today. As I reflect on this journey, I am filled with gratitude for the insights gained, the connections made, and the invaluable lessons learned. One of the highlights of my internship was the chance to engage with renowned companies like British Airways and PwC. These interactions allowed me to observe firsthand the professionalism and commitment to excellence that define their corporate cultures. The emphasis on teamwork, communication, and the importance of maintaining a positive work environment deeply resonated with me. I learned that successful companies not only prioritize their clients but also invest in their employees' well-being, fostering a healthy workplace culture where everyone can thrive. A key component of my internship experience was listening to inspirational speakers who addressed crucial topics such as diversity in the workplace and sustainability. The discussions around diversity highlighted the importance of inclusive practices in driving innovation and success. Tatsiana plays a crucial role as our Lab Coordinator, providing invaluable support to our young talents throughout their internship journey. Interested in learning about our interns' journey and the impact our mentors play in their development? Then, here a peek behind the curtain: 🎙️: "At the start of our internship program, our managers provide clear recommendations and share their expectations with interns. Many are recent graduates or in their final year of studies 🎓, so they may lack practical experience in professional environments and understanding the importance of meeting deadlines, especially in client interactions. This is where I step in to underscore the significance of these aspects. Once interns are briefed and oriented, our managers engage them in real-world challenges. They may work directly with a manager who also acts as their mentor or with separate professionals filling these roles. This approach extends beyond teaching technical skills; it emphasizes developing soft skills,  such as ⭐ Slava Matveev's mentoring contributions. 📌 A key point to mention here is that our mentors undergo specialized training to ensure they are effective in their roles. Not everyone can become a mentor; they undergo mentorship courses led by 📚 Natalya Atoyan and Tatsiana Sachuk and are evaluated regularly. ⭐ Albina Pavlova's journey from intern to mentor in our Lab Program exemplifies the effectiveness of this training, highlighting her growth and success within our organization.  Finally, after successfully completing our internship program and finding a suitable project, interns are considered for permanent positions within the company 💼. Thanks Louise 😃 I had the pleasure of actively participating in Group AMANA internship and #Emiratization program. There is a great talent within the Emirati youth, and with the right opportunities, their potential can truly shine, making the future look bright. Interacting with the new joiners and interns, I tried focusing on some "uncommon" skills. The incredibly powerful tool of #activelistening to understand the others, focusing on the present moment without distraction. I conducted specific training on this, and people loved it! How mastering own emotions and understanding those of the people around you through #emotionalintelligence can drive success for everyone involved. The importance of communication, building trust, and fostering relationships with active #teambuilding. Working together as a team is often more productive than sitting alone in front of your laptop all day. I emphasized the importance of #understandingcontracts, whether it's a tenancy agreement, a mortgage, a construction contract or the privacy policy of a new app. Knowing what rights and obligations you have is a crucial skill in any discipline. This experience made me realize that it is also critical to recognize the revolutionary force that Gen. Z brings to the workplace. Consider the attitude of new Olympic athletes, whether they win or not—they are generally humble, appreciative of the experience, and thankful for the opportunity. What are your thoughts about this?
