I hear many people ask why do we need days like IDAHOBIT in Australia? 2024 data tells us: - 68% of LGBTQIA+ employees are not comfortable to be out at work - 2 in 3 LBGTQIA+ youth experience abuse due to their sexual or gender identity - 35% of LGBTQIA+ Australians have experienced verbal abuse due to their sexual or gender identity. Personally I think we can do better, lets use days like today to raise awareness of how much work we still have to do.
