EP Solutions is based in Switzerland and develops a noninvasive planning tool that will boost the success rate of cardiac resynchronisation therapy, or CRT. Today, this life-saving device therapy for heart failure patients with an electric conduction disorder is successful in only 70% of cases. They aim to significantly improve this number and improve patients’ lives while reducing the economic, clinical and personal cost of non-response. They intend to become the provider of choice for a routine CRT planning tool, that is proven to improve outcome. Cardiac resynchronization therapies don’t work for 50% of patients, due to issues of patient non-response. EP Solutions offers a noninvasive mapping system that helps clinicians optimize lead placement for individual patients. The potential management of patients with AF can become fragmented across multiple medical specialties. However, the chronic nature of the driver conditions (and, in many patients, the arrhythmia itself) and the increasingly complex treatment algorithms can be addressed through a model such as an AF CoE emphasized by the HRS.
