What I like about my job, beyond #digital, is the variety of people, projects and industries I work with. I recently started to work with Benoit Demeulemeester and his team from Endorphins Unlimited, that encourages us to step outside our comfort zones through ice baths, fire walk experiences, hiking and retreats. Something that many companies would envy them: they have a large number of returning customers. As the company is growing, more structure is becoming a key success factor. The definition of a #crmstrategy makes total sense to organize the customer data and communicate with clients efficiently. Before we start our working session last week, I had the chance to experience the sadhu board, an instrument used for mind and body transformation. It's enough to stand 1 minute a day.  I stood around 15 to 20 seconds. What a challenge. 2 takeaways: 1️⃣ Endorphins does take you out your comfort zone 2️⃣ Being an entrepreneur is not just about delivering projects, it is about sharing, challenging ourselves and learning. Mindwalk is a movie by Bernt Capra about systems theory and about the need to get a different view of the world. What is the world really? A plea for openness and flexibility, a change of perspective. How do we apply this to politics, for example? Where cognitive knowledge is still power. The absolute belief in science, the rational, and thus technology as "deus ex machina". How do we create a sustainable society here, today? Thinking in terms of processes instead of structures alone - comprehensively and inclusively. Systems theory offers a summarizing, organizing framework for living systems - for our (survival) life. For us. It provides the principles of organization, keeping the whole in view - not just parts (to be analyzed). How does this synthesis happen? How do we grasp the essence, the essence of things? Connections, the network of interdependent relationships. In symbiosis. Against struggle, competition and individual consumption. What is life? That? Is that, today, still self-organization, the essence of life? Is self-preservation worthwhile? Are we still self-determined or are we already flattening into an ulcer of algorithms? What is the point? Has technology long since rebelled against nature, us and the "environment" (as Heidegger warned)? Do we have a minimal understanding of the power of self-renewal? For the patterns that sustain us? The stable, structural renewal. Harmonious and elegant - also (and especially) as an aesthetic expression. All you need is love. Perhaps really the only thing we can (and should?) produce in abundance. But the aspect of self-transcendence in self-organization is particularly magical: because the essence of life is the tendency to reshape, to create anew. Before the inception of RoundMap®, we were driven by a fundamental question: How could we transcend the traditional division of labor that has led to the creation of isolated silos within organizations? This division, deeply ingrained in conventional business practices, has limited the flow of ideas and collaboration, essential in today’s interconnected business landscape. In our quest for a solution, it became apparent, almost expectedly, that the concept of ‘Oneness’ or unity was the key. However, translating this concept into practice is complex. Our experience at Canon revealed an essential insight: siloed structures are often established from the top and become deeply embedded at all levels of an organization. To dismantle these silos, a fundamental shift in leadership mindset is crucial. Leaders must acknowledge their role in creating these barriers and be willing to let go of the old paradigms. This transformation, while challenging, is achievable. By showcasing the undeniable strength of unity and redefining their role in a unified mission, leaders can pave the way for a more collaborative, innovative, and sustainable future.
