I was talking to a customer who moves secondhand engine components and gearboxes to be refurbished and the question of was the fluids from the components drained prior to pick up completed due to EPA requirements. They did not realise that if the oil etc is not drained and in the transport of the engine or gearbox oil leaks Out of the device this thing can become a loose load and the company can be fined. J J. Richard was fine when fluid was released from a skip bin where a spirit camp had broken and was not properly repaired allowing liquid to leave the skip bin and go onto the road, as such they will find for loose load. It is important that you look at the risk of transport so that restraint doesn’t only include holding something onto a vehicle but insuring nothing leaves the load of any kind. It is important as a PCB to understand what the concept of loose load actually means because many people think that it is only restraining something under a truck that is important. They don’t look at the entire requirement for load packaging and restraint in their transport logistics systems.

As the OTR segment continues to innovate and find solutions to all operating conditions, One of the main frustrations of all tyre / forklift service providers and more importantly the end user is non productive time or downtime of the equipment. One of the many reasons is when the tyre service technician or the forklift engineer arrives on site to fit the "correct quality of tyre to suit the equipment and the application on to the existing end user's divided / split wheel to only find it is cracked resulting in a wasted / aborted trip. in some cases the customer will accept the charge however this in a majority of cases does not cover the actual cost to the service provider and further impact the end user resulting in significant downtime on a critical piece of equipment and a frustrated customer. we hold in excess of 400 divided split rims from the 3.00-8 /4.00-9/5.00-10& 5.00-12 for all forklift trucks that tend to be up to 2.5t capacity and we can supply these high quality wheels separately or as a complete wheel and tyre assembly so that on arrival to site the exchange process takes minutes opposed to an hour. #Everyonewins# #industrialtyrenetwork#customerservice.
