While companies actively seek dynamic individuals to take on leadership roles and drive innovation, it appears contradictory that many of these leaders are eager to be front and center during ceremonial events, such as "cake-cutting" ceremonies. This emphasis on personal visibility raises questions about whether junior staff could effectively manage such events, and if they cannot, it might indicate a broader issue with the company's leadership culture. Preference for high-visibility roles over effective delegation could suggest a focus on superficial appearances rather than fostering genuine leadership and empowering others within the organization.

There has been a lot of emphasis on “servant leaders” over the past few years but I’ve always felt: 1–there is a broad spectrum of leadership and that 2–no person is just one type. Furthermore, that different contexts require different and/or a mix of leadership for individuals or organizations to attain and retain first position in the long run. https://lnkd.in/g6TcDQSQ
