Although this may seem like just another article, it's little insights like this that are a crucial step towards educating our #physicians and aspiring medical professionals about the realities and day in the life of someone in #rheumatology. 👨⚕️ 🎓 Often, we assume that just because someone has letters before their name or attended medical school, they have all the knowledge they need. In reality, continuous learning is vital for everyone. 𝘞𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦 #HealthLiteracy 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴. Your Weekend Read: Recent scope of practice expansion news. In its last session, the Texas legislature was presented with 140 bills related to the expansion of the scope of practice by non-physician practitioners. Not one of them became law. With patient safety in mind, it is important that physician groups remain vigilant against expanding the scope of practice of non-physicians. #scopecreep #scopeofpracticeexpansion #americanmedicalassociation #radiology #healthcare #medicine

Pennsylvania lifted its licensing restrictions, permitting physicians who are licensed in any of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) states or territories to jump through fewer hoops to practice in Pennsylvania. This move lets physicians practice in multiple states, promoting mobility and flexibility in the healthcare workforce. This addresses provider shortages, translating to quicker appointments, reduced wait times and better patient outcomes. For medical groups and hospitals, the benefits are equally significant. The expedited licensing process allows them to bring new physicians on board more rapidly, expanding their capacity to serve patients. Additionally, the reduced administrative burden means more time and resources can be devoted to patient care, rather than bureaucratic tasks. I’m hopeful we’ll see an influx of physicians practicing in the state as a result of this change, which will undoubtedly improve patients’ access to care, something that is particularly important in areas like Philadelphia with high demand and specialized care needs.

I have a laundry list of things, but my biggest pet peeve, is that the arrows don't work to scroll through the blown up image. I really hope you guys fix this considering your 2 year subscription is over $600.
