Technology keeps improving… And yet getting worse at the same time. Three days, this sign has been blinking. 🤪 It would have you believe I’ve been working for more than 60 hours straight, but that is a bald-faced lie. 😂 A software update to the app disconnected my sign from the app, and all the troubleshooting steps have yielded nothing. Thoughts? Suggestions? My current plan is to allow the battery to run out, and then attempt the re-set again. I can’t even turn it off, since it won’t pair with the app. 🤷🏻♀️ What’s your weekend “project?” #technology #help #softwareupdate

With Gallagher SMB, granting your staff access to multiple business locations is as simple as tapping toggles in the SMB app and takes just minutes. Staff then use their phone, a key tag, or a user code to enter each location, and can gain access immediately.

When asked how custom apps are better than off-the-shelf options, the first thing that comes to my mind is The complete control you have over the app's development, updates, and maintenance. You also own the intellectual property, which means you're not reliant on a third-party vendor’s roadmap.

📱 Since we have smartphone I wanted to create and publish my own app. 🚀 It’s not hard, I did it half a year ago! I wanted to have my own little product. No matter how small. No matter what usage. No matter what competition. I designed, created and published a small tracker for my runs. And here is RunFlow: https://lnkd.in/e8gPk4HC It was a good reminder for: - 🔨 Build small: It’s important to scope things down to a doable, usable and shippable functionality. Test the water. - ⭕ Iterate to improve: Small steps are smooth and smooth is fast. Apple’s review process for updates and App-Updates support this very nicely. - 👨💻 Focus on application software: So much in corporate is about infra, docs, security - and for a good reason. It was refreshing to focus so clearly on core functionality and user experience. - 📃 Documentation is great: Apple’s doc is great. I did no SwiftUI before releasing this and found tons of help!
