Are you a Business Owner? Then you must read this 👉 💠 I'll talk about the core qualities and habits of a successful CEO and might help you ahead. 1️⃣ Time Management - Most of the CEOs plan out their whole day on a to-do list and then work on each task separately. In this way, they can effectively give time to the most important tasks and stuff that require attention. Not doing this simply means taking your hands off the steering wheel of your car and hoping to reach the destination. Not planning the whole day can lead to giving attention to irrelevant, unimportant, and useless tasks. At the end of the day, they will feel exhausted and would have accomplished nothing. 🔹 2️⃣ A healthy routine - A CEO takes good care of their health and daily habits. It includes getting up early from bed, Meditation or working out whichever suits the individual, having a healthy breakfast, working at their offices and taking all the required rests and breaks and at the end of their day, they also try to read books and enhance their skills. 🔸 3️⃣ Extremely Driven - They have a vision and are willing to accomplish those within a stipulated period, they upskill to keep up with the industry trends. 🔹 4️⃣ Study Human Nature - A CEO is responsible for the strategies and how business is performing so he must be capable of understanding how people will react to their company's products and strategies. 10 reasons why we fail to reach our potential....... Wether your starting, running, leading a business or looking to get to pinnacle of your career. These are my 10 reasons why so many of us fail to reach it.... ✅ We won't allow ourselves to fail. A constant fear of failure and avoiding it at all costs will limit us massively. Everyone fails at one time or another. ✅ We will worry far too much about what others think. Obsessing endlessly about others opinions is paralysing and stops us saying, doing what needs to be done. ✅ We won't be prepared to learn new skills Thinking we know everything is a recipe for obsolescence. There is always a different way or an answer. Cultivate a growth mindset. ✅ We won't ask for help: Going it alone can be overwhelming and inefficient. Surround ourselves with smarter people who want us to win. ✅ We aren't 100% clear on the problem we solve and struggle to communicate it. If we can't communicate what we offer, how can we expect others to understand what we do? ✅ We will find lots of things to distract us from actually doing the work: The world is machine tooled to distract us and help us avoid the uncomfortable stuff. I am talking to you email and social media! ✅ We won’t constantly be in conversations: A website, social media post, and "I hope they notice me" approach is not a strategy. We need to be constantly networking and engaging in meaningful conversations. ✅ Being too attached to the outcome: Constantly obsessing over results can lead to burnout and disappointment, and will start showing up in your client conversations. Focus on overdelivering, quality and the process. ✅ Being stuck in the plan and not actually doing. The world is littered with lots of great plans. Something is only something once it's built, produced or out in the world and your target market wants it. Less talking. More doing ✅ Neglecting ourself. I see it all the time. Our success is built on the foundations of us being at our absolute best. Ignoring our health is limiting our success. What's holding you back....? ------------------------- 🙋♂️ My name is Ally Gordon 💥 I help leaders navigate and thrive during significant personal and professional change. 🔝 Connect with me 💡 Let's Talk. Corporate Keynote Speaker & Trainer | LinkedIn Learning, Stanford CSP Instructor | Ex-Founding Editor at LinkedIn, Prezi | Author of Unforgettable Presence: Get Seen, Gain Influence, and Catapult Your Career (Wiley 2025)
Comfort zones are cozy — but they’re not where growth happens. If there's one thing I've learned on my journey from a shy introvert to a six-figure business owner, it’s that you can’t be committed to growth and stay within your comfort zone at the same time. When I started my career, I found safety in roles where I could work behind the scenes. Speaking up in meetings, let alone public speaking, was something I avoided at all costs. But I knew deep down that if I wanted to grow, I needed to stretch beyond what felt safe. Pushing past my comfort zone has led to some of the most pivotal moments in my career: ✅ Launching my own business, RISE Learning Solutions, months after I got laid off from Prezi was one of the scariest—and most rewarding—decisions I’ve ever made. ✅ Taking on virtual keynote speaking engagements for companies like Zoom, Cisco, Atlassian, and more—places where I once would have been too nervous to even consider pitching myself. ✅ Embracing public speaking led to my LinkedIn Learning and Stanford Continuing Studies courses, the former an aspirational dream and the second, one I hadn’t even thought for myself (thank you again for the nudge, Matt Abrahams!) These experiences didn’t just happen because I became more comfortable—they happened because I chose to step into discomfort, over and over again. Growth isn’t always about dramatic leaps. Sometimes, it’s the small, everyday decisions to stretch a little further, take on a new challenge, or embrace a new role that can lead to the biggest transformations. So if you find yourself hesitating, remember: Growth doesn’t come from staying where you are. It comes from stepping into the unknown, from pushing past what you think you can do, and from embracing the possibility of what’s waiting on the other side. If you’re looking to take those steps, here are some things that helped me: ✅ Constant exposure: I had trouble sleeping any time I had a speaking engagement coming up. The more I did them, the less my nerves took hold of me. Sometimes it’s really about pushing through and getting the reps in. ✅ Mindset: I understood that if I wanted to keep pushing forward in my career, I had to try new things. It can be easy to convince yourself you’re doing just fine where you are, and you may very well be, but if you want to keep growing, it will require change. ✅ Get feedback: If you’re trying something new and doing it in a vacuum, it can feel tough to know that things went well. It can also be tough to know what you might need to change. Thankful for my mentors and supporters who have shared their feedback with me over the last decade :) You don’t have to do it all at once. Just take that first step out of your comfort zone—you might be surprised by where it takes you.

💎 As a Business Consultant & with of YEARS PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, I often emphasize to my clients that success comes at a price. While achieving one's goals and reaching new heights of accomplishment is undoubtedly rewarding, it's essential to recognize and understand the various costs associated with success. Here are some key insights into the cost of success: 🈺 Time and Effort: One of the most significant costs of success is the investment of time and effort required to make it happen. Building a successful business or achieving significant milestones in one's career demands dedication, hard work, and perseverance. It often entails long hours, sacrifices, and prioritizing work over other aspects of life. 🈺 Personal Sacrifices: Along the journey to success, individuals may need to make personal sacrifices in various areas of their lives. This could include missed family gatherings, limited leisure time, or postponing personal pursuits in favor of professional goals. Balancing personal and professional commitments becomes crucial but often challenging. 🈺 Financial Investment: Success often requires a financial investment, whether it's funding a new business venture, pursuing higher education or training, or investing in marketing and infrastructure. Entrepreneurs and professionals may need to allocate significant resources upfront with the understanding that the returns may not be immediate. 🈺 Risk and Uncertainty: Pursuing success inherently involves risk and uncertainty. Venturing into uncharted territory, challenging the status quo, or pushing the boundaries of innovation entails a degree of risk-taking. Success may not be guaranteed, and individuals must be willing to navigate setbacks, failures, and unexpected obstacles along the way. 🈺 Physical and Mental Well-being: The pursuit of success can take a toll on one's physical and mental well-being. Stress, anxiety, and burnout are common challenges faced by ambitious individuals striving for excellence. It's essential to prioritize self-care, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and seek support when needed to mitigate the negative effects of stress. 🈺 Social and Relationship Impact: Achieving success may also impact one's social life and relationships. Long hours at work or frequent business travel can strain personal relationships and lead to feelings of isolation. 🈺 Continuous Growth and Development: Success is not a destination but a journey of continuous growth and development. Individuals must be willing to adapt, learn from failures, and evolve in response to changing circumstances. 📱 Send Me A Message Or Click the link below to sign up for a FREE Business Consultation. https://lnkd.in/gv9ZPf2g #BusinessConsulting #EntrepreneurialJourney #SuccessMindset #UnlockYourPotential #TakeTheLeap #SuccessStrategies #BusinessGrowth #ConsultingServices #BusinessDevelopment #flowsynergybusinessalliance

Business & Personal Performance Coach | Empowering women entrepreneurs to #SayYesToSuccess | Confidence-building | Strategy & Systems Implementation |
The topic of "potential" is often spoken about in the business field and it has been discussed in my household regarding my children's future career/sports practice. However, I do not have such a favourable association with the word potential. Having read and researched quite a bit on the topic I wanted to share my views on the subject. What is potential? NOUN latent qualities or abilities that may be developed and lead to future success or usefulness: Data from Oxford Languages Potential is overrated and why you should scrap it! Potential on its own is not enough to get you success and it can kill many people's dreams and businesses if you over-rely on it! Why you may ask?! This links back to the Fixed vs Growth mindset and many studies that have been done on the topic. In summary, the findings show that people who rely on their talent or potential alone, often get relaxed or "trapped" in their mindset thinking that things will just happen for them since they have "the potential" and they don't need to take major actions or make extra efforts to adapt and grow. This is how your fixed mindset and trust in the potential alone can trap and block you from achieving your full success. On the contrary, I see and speak to people without the classic signs of "potential" and very disadvantaged backgrounds who defy the odds and achieve huge success in their lives and businesses. They are aware that they don't have great potential and often the odds are stuck against them, but they have one thing in common which outweighs potential by far - hunger! Hunger for success! When you mix hunger for success with commitment, hard work and consistent action - you create a true growth mindset! Awakening your hunger for success is the biggest driver - the 80% of the formula. It comes from knowing what you want and why you want it! The other 20% is the mechanics - the how to get there! And if you are one of those hungry-for-success people with a growth mindset, nothing will stop you from finding how to get there! Success = 80% psychology + 20% mechanics If you are a business owner undergoing some turbulent times and seeking support or just find yourself stuck in stagnation, looking for growth- I would love to hear from you. “Do What Works for You” – Strategic or Just a Cop-out? We hear it all the time: Do what works for you. But is this really strategic advice, or just an excuse to avoid tough decisions? ✅The Limits of Generic Advice Productivity hacks, career tips, and life advice are often one-size-fits-all. In reality, everyone’s circumstances, strengths, and goals differ. What works for one person might not work for you—and that’s okay. ✅Personal Strategy Is Everything True success comes from understanding yourself and crafting a personalized approach. This isn’t about avoiding challenges, but about creating a strategy that aligns with your strengths and ambitions. Think about moments where you chose your own path over conventional wisdom—what did that look like for you? ✅Is It an Excuse for Inaction? However, “do what works for you” can easily become an excuse to stay in your comfort zone. Have you ever followed this advice and found it actually held you back? The key is to not confuse comfort with progress—sometimes, growth requires making uncomfortable choices. How to Build Your Own Strategy 1. Know Yourself: Be honest about your strengths and areas for improvement. 2. Set Adaptable Goals: Have clear objectives, but be flexible. 3. Test and Learn: Continuously evaluate and refine what works for you. In the end, “Do what works for you” is only strategic if it’s intentional.

Forward-Thinking Talent Acquisition Leader | Expert in Strategic Outbound Recruiting | Building High-Impact Teams with Focused Engagement - Beyond "Post & Pray"
"Stop the Pity Party! 5 Ways It’s Hurting Your Career" 🚫🎉 We’ve all had those moments—after weeks of prep, you pitch your ideas in a big meeting, but the response is lukewarm, or maybe the client goes in a different direction. It’s a letdown, and the urge to sulk is real! But letting a “pity party” mentality take over can actually hurt you more than the setback itself. Here’s why leaving self-pity behind is crucial for your growth and reputation at work: 1. **It Lowers Team Morale**: Constantly dwelling on setbacks doesn’t just affect you; it impacts your team’s energy too. When you fixate on “what went wrong,” it shifts focus away from solutions and can bring the whole team down. Success thrives on positivity and resilience, and just like negativity, optimism can be contagious. 2. **It Stalls Personal Growth**: Setbacks are part of the journey, but each one offers valuable insights. Rather than focusing on the disappointment, think about what you can learn from the experience. Self-pity can keep you feeling stuck, while accountability helps you identify areas for improvement and makes you stronger for future opportunities. 3. **It Damages Relationships**: We all need to vent now and then, but constantly focusing on negatives can strain relationships. People naturally gravitate toward problem-solvers who can adapt to challenges. Excessive venting can leave colleagues viewing you as a complainer, impacting how they interact with and support you in the future. 4. **It Weakens Your Reputation**: Handling challenges with resilience builds respect. When you dwell on setbacks, it can give the impression that you’re easily discouraged. Leaders and teammates respect those who face adversity with a solution-oriented mindset, making it easier to earn trust for high-stakes projects. 5. **It Misses the Chance to Shine Under Pressure**: A setback is also an opportunity to stand out. Responding to challenges with resilience and a growth mindset shows that you’re adaptable and capable. People remember those who navigate difficult situations gracefully—it’s often what sets you apart and solidifies your reputation as someone who thrives under pressure. Next time things don’t go as planned, skip the pity party and shift your perspective. Every setback holds a lesson, and every challenge is a chance to show your strength. 💪✨ #WorkplaceTips #Resilience #GrowthMindset #Leadership #ProfessionalGrowth
