Tempest Marketing | Helping you to engage and retain your customers to drive ROI and customer lifetime value
What’s trending in email marketing this year? 💭 Glad you asked 😉I’m always interested to see how the field changes and what different brands are up to, so I’ve been taking note of some themes I’ve seen and read about recently. Here goes: 👾More interactive elements Gifs and animations have been used for a while to increase engagement, successfully! So expect to see much more dynamic campaigns landing in your inbox, with things like polls and quizzes, interactive CTAs and carousels, and accordion features to condense longer emails. 🔎A bigger focus on accessibility Perhaps less of a trend, more of a need, but it’s still great to see. Content should work for everyone! By improving accessibility you make your emails more user friendly, so it’s a win win. There’s a few simple ways to do this: always use subject lines that are concise and descriptive, and try to give context to CTAs, rather than using generic ones. Check that your content follows a logical order on all devices and that its hierarchy is really clear, so screen readers can interpret it correctly. And good colour contrast is important too! 🦸♀️Hyper-personalistion This is one that just keeps growing and growing. What’s really interesting is that we’re all now so used to receiving emails that are tailored to us, when we don’t, we’re annoyed about it! The personal has become standard; the impersonal can now be really detrimental and cause people to delete, unsubscribe or move to junk. It’s so important to put thought and effort into the content and products you’re sending different segments, or individuals. You can look at visitor behaviour to your site too and set up triggered emails, depending on their activity. What trends have you spotted recently? I’m sure there’s more! Does it seem like our email marketing has become a little monotonous? 🧐 Let's talk about how to make our emails more interesting and appealing to our subscribers 📧✨ No wonder they say that the first impression is important, and the subject line is what you see first. Try to create headlines that grab attention and leave your followers excited. For example, "Secret discounts are waiting for you!" or "What have we prepared this time?" Another way to make emails more interesting is to add interactive elements. Consider putting buttons, polls, or voting right in the email. Encourage your audience to interact with your content. 🤳🔍 Don't forget about the power of stories and case studies. Tell interesting and compelling stories about your product or service. Share the successes of your customers - it is always interesting. 📖🌟 Create an impression of privilege with exclusive offers or access to private events for subscribers only. People love to feel special! 💼💎 Visual content always attracts attention. Add vivid illustrations or GIF animations to your email. Make it colorful and attractive. 🌈🎉 Don't overlook holiday themes. Adapt your email marketing to seasonal events or holidays. For example, create an Easter-themed email or a Happy New Year's greeting! A personal touch always makes a difference. Use recipients' names and personalize your content. People appreciate being addressed by name. 👤👋 Don't be afraid to experiment and implement new ideas. Your email marketing can become a real art! Let each email be a unique experience and a gift for our subscribers! 🌟📧 #emailmarketing #marketing #didgitalmarketing #emailpromotion #adindexagency

CEO at Transparent Digital Agency | I unlock hidden revenue for DTC brands using high-level email marketing strategies 📨
If you need an email marketer or email agency for your brand, HERE are a few things to look for to find the right person/team for the job: 1. Show me some case studies of brands you've worked with in the past. People can TALK about what they've done, and ask them to show and prove it. 2. Show me some case studies of brands you work with NOW (or recently). This will show you the depth and breadth of their email knowledge. 3. Show me some examples of work you've done for other brands. This will help you understand if they've done work for brands similar to yours or have insights into issues your account might be having. 4. Tell me times where you made the biggest impact on a brand's email revenue. Anyone can take over email for a killer brand. Ask them what they changed that had the greatest impact and the result it had. 5. Tell me about your experience with email deliverability. Understand how deeply they understand it. It's a bit of a black box, but an experienced email team NEEDS to understand how to manage and monitor deliverability. If this happens, then what? etc 6. How does your onboarding process work? If the answer is they take payment then start working on your emails the next day, run. We have a 40-question brand onboarding form to help us understand brand identity, tone, keywords, etc. These are just a few questions that can help you gauge a freelancer or teams expertise in just a few questions.

Random email agency: we made 50% from Klaviyo for this client in 1 month. It may look impressive, but do we ever pause to question the strategy behind those numbers? Rarely do we see them revealing what's behind the scenes: - attribution settings - acquisition quality - the long-term effect the strategy has on the brand In most cases, if a brand drives insane amounts of revenue from email, they have an acquisition problem. Or even worse, they track it wrongly. I've been into hundreds of Klaviyo accounts. Some even had attribution windows stretching out to 7, 10, or even 15 days (yep, that's a true story)! Every brand is unique, and so are their marketing strategies. For some, 15% of email revenue might be the sweet spot, while for others, it could be 20% or more. It's not about hitting a BIG number, it's about what works best for this particular brand. Sure, you can flood your customers' inboxes with discounts. And you might even be able to increase the revenue coming from Klaviyo for a short time. That's like sprinting in a marathon. It might give you a short-term boost, but it's not sustainable in the long run. All it will do is make your brand look desperate.

Revolutionizing Email Marketing: The Power of Active Voice In the realm of email marketing, we're often on the hunt for complex strategies and new trends. But sometimes, the most profound impact comes from the basics: the way we construct our sentences. Let's talk about the active voice. Why Active Over Passive? Using the active voice in your emails is more than a grammatical choice—it's a strategic one. It brings clarity, energy, and a personal touch to your messages. Consider these examples: Passive: "Your order has been shipped." ➡️ Active: "We've shipped your order." Passive: "A new collection has been launched." ➡️ Active: "We've launched a new collection." Passive: "Special discounts are being offered." ➡️ Active: "We're offering special discounts." Notice the difference? Active voice creates a connection with the reader. It's direct, engaging, and often more persuasive. The Impact? A simple shift from passive to active voice can significantly enhance click-through and conversion rates. It's about bringing a human element to your digital communication. Have you experimented with active vs. passive voice in your email marketing? What changes have you observed in engagement or conversion rates? Share your insights or ask questions below. Let's delve into how such subtle changes in our writing can lead to remarkable improvements in our marketing outcomes. #emailmarketingtips #copywriting #activevoice
