"‘Thanks for the quote. I’ll get back to you soon.’ — 12 years ago. Ah, the classic line that every logistics professional knows all too well! 😅 In this business, providing quotes is our daily bread. From shipping containers to managing complex supply chains, we’ve mastered the art of delivering precise, competitive quotes. But what about the waiting game that follows? That’s where the real challenge begins! Imagine: it’s a sunny Monday morning. You’ve just finished your third cup of coffee and sent out a meticulously detailed quote. You’re feeling great, maybe even a bit heroic. But then... crickets. Days, weeks, sometimes even months go by. That hopeful ‘soon’ turns into a distant memory, lost in the endless sea of follow-ups. But here’s the thing—we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Each quote is a step closer to building trust and solid relationships. And sometimes, just sometimes, those ‘soon’ replies come back with the green light that makes it all worth it. So here’s to all the logistics warriors out there, navigating the highs and lows, the quotes and the waits. Keep pushing forward, because every ‘soon’ has the potential to turn into something amazing. 💪🚛🌍 #LogisticsLife #QuoteAndWait #PatienceInBusiness #LogisticsEducation #ImportExport #GlobalLeaders #WestonLogistcs #Formorethanjustclearing #Supplychain #FreightLogistics #clearingandforwarding #Shippingline #Warehousing #Packaging #Customs #Transport #Freight #ThinkWELL

Adaptability means changing and adjusting when things are different or new. So, what helps a freight broker be adaptable? ✔ Being intellectually flexible and able to switch from details to the big picture and explain it to customers. ✔ Being receptive and keeping a positive attitude looking for new ways to help customers reach their goals. ✔ Being creative and comfortable trying new things or thinking outside the box. ✔ Modification of behavior to meet each customer's needs or handle unexpected situations. In the transportation industry, we know that change is constant. That's why we focus on improving our employees' adaptability skills and promoting a positive mindset. After all, having a positive mindset is key, isn't it? #2winlogistics #2winway #adaptability #freightbroker #transportationmanagement

Transportation Supervisor | Freight Manager | Money and Mind Saver | Positive Leader | Lifetime Learner | Strong Believer
Some people are naturally adaptable, they like changes and the unexpected and alter their routines as much as they can. However, I am the kind of person who has a ‘to do’ list and doesn’t like it when something arises which isn’t on my list, so I am not naturally adaptable. Having chosen to work in the transportation I had to learn how to become adaptable and flexible through experience using my planning and organising skills to change my behaviour. What about you? You naturally adaptable? Or learned it hard way? 😅 #adaptability #2winlogistics

Here’s our 20ft full container load (FCL) arriving after being delayed due to the Red Sea Crisis. With the #Redseacrisis causing shipping delays worldwide we are all having to adapt but what can we do? In the dynamic landscape of logistics, unexpected bumps along the supply chain are par for the course, but our response to them can truly set us apart! Here are a few thoughts on turning delays into triumphs: 1️⃣ Embrace the Challenge: Shipment delays can be a test of patience but they also provide an opportunity to showcase our adaptability. Approach the challenge with a positive and proactive mindset and your team will likely follow suit. 2️⃣ Communication is Key: Keep your stakeholders in the loop! Being transparent about delays fosters trust and enables better planning. Proactive communication demonstrates professionalism and a commitment to customer satisfaction. 3️⃣ Strategic Planning: Use the extra time to reassess and optimise your supply chain. Are there alternative routes, suppliers, or methods that could help mitigate future delays? A strategic approach can turn a setback into a long-term advantage. 4️⃣ Customer-Centric Solutions: Use personalised messages or added value to express gratitude for their patience. Satisfied customers are more likely to become loyal patrons! 5️⃣ Team Collaboration: Bring your team together! A positive and collaborative environment can transform challenges into team-building exercises. Brainstorming sessions might lead to innovative solutions and strengthen the sense of camaraderie within your organisation. 6️⃣ Learn and Iterate: Treat each delay as a lesson. Conduct a post-mortem analysis to understand the root cause, and implement changes to prevent similar issues in the future. Continuous improvement is key to resilience. Success isn't about avoiding challenges but rather navigating through them effectively. 🚀 #shipping #logistics #supplychain #logisticsmanagement #supplychainmanagement #supplychainresilience

Simplify the problem. Yes, operations can be complex, but they’re only as complicated as we make them. If you want to start seeing better results, try simplifying things - focus on what’s important, and take quick and decisive action to address it. Even complex issues can be broken down into manageable parts. Once you do that, solutions become clearer, and you can start to dial down the complexity. Question why processes are in place and focus on what they are in place to achieve. At The TAC Group, we’ve become quite adept at helping our clients simplify their operations, eliminate waste, and improve operational efficiencies. Our decades of functional experience direct us to collectively find a practical approach that solves your challenges. Book a call with us today to see how we can make things simple for you! #SupplyChainConsulting #Operations #Logistics #ContinuousImprovement

I help you build championship teams for a greater purpose. Recruiting in 3PL, logistics and transportation.
I had coffee with my friend Gregory Grimes yesterday and I always appreciate hearing how he thinks about #freight and the #transportationindustry. One of the things we talked about was how short term thinking can impact a long term game. Whether that is high leverage, high turnover, or low rates to win with poor service, the consensus was instead of those things: if you do it right and do it well, good clients and growth will always come your way.
