The way we do work is changing! Our education systems not! The change we experience gives us more freedom of time and freedom of location! Coming from a manufacturing environment I still have to get used to not being at work and still doing work. What is not changing is our education system! The more I think about it, The more it gets me thinking for my daughter. Should I really push her to get a degree? Should I push her to learn how to learn and acquire new skills regardless of the degree? That’s difficult, since we’ve been programmed to pursue degrees and education in the formal way. What do you think, should we push our children towards formal education or should we prepare them for a future where they need to become flexible and resourceful?

Founder, Edugreed At Edugreed, we teach decision-making, problem-solving, and mindfulness, ensuring students thrive academically and personally, meeting parental expectations for a well-rounded education.
In our current society, we often lose sight of the real essence of education. We become so consumed with academia, giving immense value to scores, marks, and percentages, that we forget learning is much more than just grades. Education is about knowledge, skills, and understanding, all of which aren't solely measured by academic scores. The true value of education is in how we can apply what we've learned to solve problems and make a difference in our community and the world. Scores and grades might give an immediate impression of one's academic prowess, but they don't always define one's abilities or potential. They are not the be-all and end-all; rather, they are just one aspect of a person's educational journey. The path to reaching the pinnacle of your career isn't defined by your academic score alone. It's about your passion, your dedication, your resilience, and how you use your education to improve yourself and the world around you. Let's redefine what success and achievement in education means. Let's value knowledge and understanding over mere scores. Let's foster a culture that prizes learning, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Only then can we truly maximize the potential of education and empower each individual to reach their career zenith. Remember, education is a lifelong journey filled with endless opportunities for growth and improvement. And it's not just about the destination - the journey itself is what truly matters. #education #learning #careerdevelopment

“No matter how excellent and how experienced you are, we often don’t create opportunities for teachers to really lead. You have to leave the classroom and become a principal, and so we have to think about how we can make the profession more dynamic, more sustainable, more joyful, and, ultimately, more impactful for kids.” In a new article from Laura Aka at WorkingNation, Leading Educators CEO Chong-Hao Fu reflects on what it will take to have a teaching profession that lives up to students' potential. He says, “Teaching can be a very isolating profession in terms of how often you actually get to work with adults. In designing schools that are more collaborative and where adults actually get more time to do their best work and practice together, we have seen overwhelmingly positive feedback." "Is Our Education System Truly Preparing Children for Life?" Did you know that 85% of students feel their education focuses more on memorizing facts than developing real-life skills? It’s shocking but true! 🙄 As an educator, I often reflect on what we're teaching in schools and whether it really helps children thrive in the real world. Are we helping them discover their strengths, and develop critical thinking, or are we just preparing them for exams? A Personal Experience: I remember when I was a student, my focus was entirely on getting good marks. I thought success meant being at the top of the class. However, after entering the professional world, I realized that the real game is about skills, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving abilities. That was a turning point for me. I started looking at education differently. Focus on Skills: Encourage students to learn practical skills like communication, leadership, and teamwork alongside academics. Teach Self-Discovery: Help children recognize their unique talents and passions. Education is not just about exams but also about finding one’s path. Encourage Curiosity: Make learning fun! Let students ask questions and explore different subjects without the pressure of grades. What Can We Do? It's time to rethink our education system and make it more holistic. Let’s emphasize not just on marks but also on life lessons and personal growth. What do you think? How can we balance academic learning with life skills? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. If this resonates with you, please share your thoughts in the comments below. Let's start a conversation on how we can make education better for our children. Feel free to connect if you’d like to exchange more ideas!
